I'm so sick of attempts at these threads, and their brethren. Anyone else want to suggest their least favorite thread titles and why these debates aren't bloody well doing anything to further the Kingdom, and probably also stand out as major reasons why non-Christians are repelled by Christians, and why certain members of the fold can't seem to f'ing shut up about them nonetheless?

For those who care, Dan Savage held a contest in his sex advice column Savage Love for this specific practice, and the term which won was "pegging."

My own favourite Please Stop The Insanity Now thread, which I think covers most of the applications here, would be:

Why People Who Disagree With Me Are Not Only Incorrect, But Immoral

I.e., no one can actually just be wrong, they have to be willfully wrong. They can't just be honestly in error. Very little pisses me off (and brings in my own defend-the-underdog reactions) more than accusations of intellectual dishonesty -- not just against me but in general. And not if someone asks, "Do you really mean that? I can't imagine someone sincerely holding that position?" which is different -- I mean passive-aggressive, snidely implied accusations of intellectual dishonesty.

Clearly, Mr. Juice was using "them Beatles" as a comic construction. In America, to illustrate stupidity of a made up character, we use back-woods slang. He was adopting the grammatical flavor of someone, quite likely called Cletus, to further show the stupidity of what was being said.

Can we please return to the game now?

It doesn't matter what the topic of this thread is, becuase as soon as one grammatical error is made, the entire thread will become a pedantic dick contest.
