Sam Allardyce only lasted one game as the England men's football manager. It seems to be a career-ending job that gets more negative press than that of Labour leader.
Who will be next to drink from the cup that has finished off so many managers before them?

NOTA. Sir Clive Woodward.

Hope Powell??!! That's a brilliant idea!

I suggest Geoffrey Boycott, not because he knows anything about soccer but just because if there is a poison chalice going then...

Australia is likely to roll its current rugby coach soon ...

I voted for someone I'd never heard of. But then Woodward was the only one I had heard of, and ... yeah nah. Oh ... and Boycott. Yeah nah.

I voted for Klinsmann. Anything to get him out of the USA.

I voted for Gary Neville, but I think I would have voted for Arsene Wenger, had he not (according to the Daily Telegraph) ruled himself out, as he (quite reasonably) thinks the job should go to an Englishman.
It's rather a shame, as I reckon Mr. Wenger has the right combination of decency, skill and no-nonsenseness that they could really do with. Having said that, I wouldn't wish the poisoned chalice on such an apparently decent, honest chap.

I didn't vote as I've never heard of any of the candidates.
