It is my sad responsibility to share the news that Shipmate Lietuvos Sv. Kazimieras died suddenly on Saturday. I've been informed by a reliable landlubber, but have no further information at present.
Please pray for him and his partner A.
May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.

I remember him very fondly from my former incarnation on the ship. We had a couple of very good side exchanges.

I'm saddened by a fellow Delaware-based Shipmate passing.
I took the time to look up his last post (May 4, 2016, in Styx, I believe):
quote:
Thanks. I'm going to try the Always allow cookies setting (it was previously on "For sites I visit") and see if that does the trick. If not, I'll go to Heaven.
Yes you will, my friend. Yes you will.

Very sad to hear of LSK's passing; his posts were always worth reading.
for his soul, and for his partner and all who mourn him.
Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.

Qoheleth, if you can, please let us know when the funeral takes place, so that a prayer can be said, and a candle lit for LSK, A, and others (including yourself) at that time.

I'm told that a Memorial Service will also be held on our side of the pond in due course. Probably at a certain well-known London shack at whose altar our late Shipmate was privileged to serve in years past.

For A.
He was a wonderful contributor to the Ship and especially to Ecclesiantics. A very sad loss.

I am very sorry to hear this. I read many of his posts when I was hosting Eccles, and he always had interesting and thoughtful things to say.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
May those who love him be comforted.
