I am coming to the conclusion that the current attack on non-internet life is leaving me unable to organise this year's sending of thanks-offerings to hosts and other grandees.
The fact is that it has taken me until now to realise I had forgotten to do it, is indicative of how many things are going on.
I am willing to advise anyone else who wants to organise but do not think it is reasonable for me to try this year.

What's this "non-internet life" you mention? I didn't know there was such a thing!
