Joke submitted by Delenn
The Vatican are announcing the launch of a new low-calorie communion host.
It's called: "I can't believe it's not Jesus".

I heard it as 'gluten-free' host. In the age of atkins, it floated as 'O carb'. I think it was funnier when 'I can't believe it's not butter' was a newer product, and the name itself was absurd and funny.

Hey! I submitted this joke as well.
So, well, yeah, it *is* funny, it's a pun on a product name and the communion bread.

Also on the Vatican's rigid definition of what constitutes bread?
IIRC some bakery products that the man in the street would consider "bread" are excluded by the Vatican for the sake of caution, so it really would be counted as "not Jesus". I don't know if this applies to "low calorie" or "gluten-free" bread though.

Among the worst jokes of the lot. The body and blood are not to be trifled with. Will this contributor next suggest diet grape juice instead of wine for the blood of Christ?
Among the least funny and most offensive here. Sorry I didn't contribute a good one to offend evangelical protestants, but I don't know any...

Finally a joke that made me smile. No offense taken from this at all. But then I'm not a believer in transubstanciation. I think it is an example of a joke that is good humoured and on the tasteful side of the 'line'.

This joke was me but I've totally forgotten the password for that account so I can't post under the name Delenn. I did post a comment with it that my Dad, as a practising Catholic, found this joke hugely offensive but it amused me even when I still thought I believed. (Possibly explains why I'm not a Catholic any more)
What I do find odd and so I thought I'd post it is that despite the point of the discussion being about offensive jokes, I felt more than a little guilty when I read Sir Kevin's post. Just goes to show that maybe half the fun of telling these jokes is anticipating the reaction of your audience and asuming you won't upset any one... and you can't do that on-line

Very Serious Note.
LupinPooter, It is not permitted to have two identities on the ship ( see commandment 10 which you agreed to).
You must cease using your "LupinPooter" identity now and e mail an Admin (they can all be contacted through The Styx board at the top of the main boards menu).
I am sure it is a genuine mistake, and they will help you get back in to your original identity.
I will also PM you this.
