Can anyone recommend good DVDs on Church History?
I already know about Diarmaid MacCulloch's excellent History of Christianity series.
Was really looking for something in a bit more depth - a series of hour length documentaries on heroes of the faith (St Augustine, St Francis, St Cuthbert, Luther, Whitefield, Hudson Taylor, Bonhoeffer, etc) or something would be ideal.
Stand alone films (e.g. Amazing Grace also welcome as suggestions)

"The Christians" is a good one. It was made in the 1970's and presented by (the rather learned but still accessible) Bamber Gascoigne.
I liked it for the 70's'ness of it.
But there's only 1 left on Amazon (UK)*, so you'll have to be quick...
