For a couple of months now I've been using an iPad 3, with Chrome, as I always did with my Samsung netbook. On SoF, Chrome keeps crashing. Doesn't happen on any other site, and never happened on the Samsung. I haven't tried another browser, but Chrome suits me well and I don't want the hassle of using a multiplicity of browsers. Any suggestions, anyone?

If it helps, the crash happens when I tap on a link. Chrome shuts down altogether.

I'm not sure it's a Ship problem. I'm using Chromium on Linux on a laptop and not having any problems.

It's possible that you might get a wider array of helpful technical suggestions in the Technical Support thread.

Shall I close your bragging about your shiny new kit in deference of the other thread, or would you rather that I left it open to attract snide comments about decade-old software being able to predict entirely different hardware/browsers?

Haha re shiny new kit, the iPad 4 came out almost immediately. Things can be out of date before you get them home these days. I mentioned my 3 because it runs i06 - most of my apps have had i06 updates, wondered if the Ship needs a tweak, and therefore whether anyone else had the same problem.

Point taken, I should take this to the other thread. Quick note to CK - thanks, but then why does this only ever happen here?

What happens if you try it in Safari on the iPad?
