After sterling service in Hell, Heaven and All Saints, PeteC is taking a break from hosting for a few months. The Crew are grateful for all Pete's hard work and hope that he enjoys a well earned rest.

Please use this thread to wish Pete all the best, express thanks etc.

PeteC is being let out of Hell free?

Uncle Pete, does this mean you're going to stop being a curmudgeonly old grumpmeister? How will we recognise you? Seriously, thanks for all your input shipwards (and friendshipwards) so far and all the best for your impending travels. You're in the new diary!

I'm pretty sure that PeteC won the "Host of the Year" in the St Simmies a couple of years ago and amazingly, I nominated him! That was on the basis of his hosting in All Saints, Hell and (I think) Purgatory too.

He's done a fine job throughout and has helped me no end as a rookie Hellhost. Enjoy your break.

I've always enjoyed Pete's hosting in Hell, and I'll miss it.

I hope you stick around, Pete--don't be like so many others who say they will continue to contribute, then go off to lie on a remote beach sipping cocktails with paper umbrellas in them, posting rarely and then only to rub it in...

However, I believe his travels bring him to Scotland at some point, so there'll be nae lazing on beaches then.

I see that you have identified the situation clearly. If we areto hear from Pete, henceforth it will only be because one of the staff has learned to keyboard his responses for us. However, as a fellow superannuated public servant, I quite understand the importance of drinks with paper umbrellas-- a just reward for dedicated service to Our Glorious Sovereign.
