A Merry Christmas to all on board, from the Captain and crew , to all aboard. Best wishes for the New year as well.

Right. Presents are packed, the house is (relatively) clean and tidy, I've recited 'The Night Before Christmas' to Hugal (my mum read it to me every Christmas Eve, and I've kept up the tradition, except these days I can do it from memory).

So all that remains is to wish Shipmates a happy Christmas filled with joy, peace, hope and love.

And chocolate. Don't forget chocolate.

Three hours to the Christmas Eve service. Motherboard is packing for the trip to see grandchildren. I must remember to light the fireplace this evening, in case Santa remembers us.

As I prepare to go out to the Midnight Service, tiptoeing out of a sleeping household and then returning tomorrow (hee hee) to play Santa before snuggling into my duvet on the sofa surrounded by cards and presents and the few decorations we managed to get up, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish EVERYONE and all your loved ones a peaceful, joyful and decidedly delightful Christmas. That NORAD Tracker might actually teach some kids some geography. The wikidpedia link on every stop is a wonderful idea.

Almost Christmas here in Newfoundland - just over 2½ hours to go, but as I'll be singing my wee heart out at midnight (or listening to the Bishop, depending on how gassy he is ) I'll wish everyone a Merry Christmas now.

A clear, cool night. Everything fresh. Bright 3/4s moon, with Jupiter nearby. Walking briskly along a quiet city street, chatting with good friends from restaurant to church. Candlelight inside. A kind of heaven.

I make it a promise that the computer is truned off from before leaving for Christmas Eve service to Boxing Day - so now need to catch up and express the wish and hope that everyone had a peaqceful and enjoyable day under the light of the Nativity Star!
