I remember a picture in old missals of a priest in gothic chasuble, eastward facing, elevating the host. Above him were angels carrying the sacrifice to the altar in heaven.

I want this picture for a service booklet but cannot find it, not can google.

Anyone know?

Probably not the one you are looking for, but this is similar.

Exhibit 1

It sounds like one of these holy card images. Sorry the picture is not clearer.

Google holy cards, maybe tridentine, and you may find a better version.

Exhibit 2

[Edit: blah blah blah ... "has a length of 174 characters and resulted in the following TinyURL which has a length of 26 characters". Just sayin' (saves pixels)]

Isn't this known as a Theophany?
as: Further Exhibit A'

or: Further Exhibit A''

[Edit: Pretty, innit?]

In my mind, I was picturing the old St. Joseph Missals "for full and active participation" (yes, I know they still make them, but the pics are different now). I couldn't find that image, though.

I don't want to be a fashion Nazi or anything but do youse think y'all could use the fancy hi-brow option of putting a word into the second UBB window thingy so that links to sites look a little less like the chemical formula for rats faeces?

No, this is known as dreck. Ick!

The art is debased and sickly modern.

The iconography is deplorable. It's a faux trinitarian mess called a Gnadenstuhl. Google is happy to serve up more of it.

In this nonsense art the Father is depicted!

The Father is never depicted in orthodox art.

Run from this debased devotional art.

Yet again, I think we get to denounce the Germans for it.

It's on the same deplorable level as this hideousness.

And while I'm being cranky, I'll say there is usually no need to obscure a url behind the screen of a url shortened. It's a security risk. I think a link into Wikipedia is the usual exception needing a url shortener.

UBB's url tag handles these urls just fine. Here:

Further Exhibit A'

and: Further Exhibit A''
