Was announced today - they're filming series 3 of Rev at the mo - due to air in Spring 2014.

That is indeed good news and has cheered me up considerably .
Always difficult for a programme to live up to expectations when obviously you're going to use all the best ideas first .

Must admit that I am slightly surprised.
Series two was a bit of a disappointment after the first excellent series. Having said that, the episode with Adam on retreat was toe-curlingly on the mark.
And at the end, they seemed to have neatly tied up all the loose ends - Alex is finally pregnant, Archdeacon Robert has become a human being (how disappointing - I loved him when he was a complete bastard), and so on.
But if they have new ideas and can get back to series one level, I am all for it. I see that Roland Wise (Hugh Bonneville) is coming back, which could be fun.
I also understand that they are looking at a US version, based in downtown Chicago.

Given the immense pathos in it, which is partly what makes it so great, I'm predicting Alex will have a miscarriage.
Greatly looking forward to it.
Series 1 stuttered a little at the start, but it's just gotten better since then. It was just a shame the DVD of series 2 never worked, even after I got a replacement.

Oh I think she will have the baby, there's too much mileage to be had in the 'vicar as harassed parent' motif for it to be missed. Cue Adam about to rush out of the door to get to a service, when baby vicarage does a massive puke all over his clericals....

I gave up on the second series. It sat on our box for a long time and Gill watched them, I didn't. I agree with most people. The first series was good the second suffered from second seriesitus.

I didn't catch it until series 2. Then I found series 1 on Bt Vision, from which it disappeared before I got very far. I didn't realise it wasn't a permanent fixture. Drat.
