We're spending a few days in London over Easter, and I'm looking for a church to go to on Easter Sunday.

My churchmanship is generally lower than a snake's abdomen, but I don't mind the occasional jaunt up the candle.

Any suggestions?

Where are you staying? Are you looking at any particular area?

London is generally quiet at Easter as everyone goes away!

Our church could probably out-low you, but you'd be welcome!

We're staying in Central London, happy to travel as far as public transport on Easter Sunday will allow!

You could go to one of the Catherdrals or Abbeys - St Paul's, Westminster - or somewhere else of historical significance like St Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London.

Given that you're in Central London, I'd grab the opportunity to worship somewhere completely different from your usual that you could only go to whilst you're here.

I'd go with Tubbs's idea - St. Paul's, Westminster Abbey and Westminster RC Cathedral all have excellent choirs, and will probably put on a Pretty Good Show on Easter Sunday.

Hope you enjoy wherever you end up.

If you want something a little different that is off the "church tourist" map (i.e. cathedrals) but within the touristy district of London, then may I suggest the Swiss church which has a 10:30am service and is close to Tottenham Court Road.

and it has all sorts of people in it and several in charge, male and female. They also have really excellent singers and organ and piano and other ones.

If you don't want cathedral-esque worship, but still something impressive, then St Martin in the Fields would be a pretty good choice for a central churchmanship.

If you wanted something higher (and musically glorious) then All Saints Maragret Street would be worth it for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
