Hello All,
I've been pondering the problem of dating when you're straddled between an evangelical Christian past, and a more liberal/confused present. Dating non-Christians feels problematic, but dating a go-getter Christian would also be a non-starter. Weirdly enough there aren't any dating sites for disillusioned, slightly confused, post evangelical singles though. So I just set up a Facebook group, and called it Square Peg. There's a fair chance I may be the only person in this group, but thought this might be a good place to mention it just in case there's others who have been feeling similar frustration. Anyway, here's the link: [link removed - see below]
Happy Bank Holiday,
Paul

Sorry Paul but I think that crosses the line into advertising, which we don't allow here. Anyone who wishes can PM for the address, if they are interested or, probably more effectively, you can put a link to the page in your signature line.

Welcome, by the way, perhaps you'd care to stop by the Welcome thread at the top of the All Saints page and introduce yourself.

Apologies WW, I'd assumed the advertising rule was just against profit-based / marketing things. Sorry about that. I'll stop by the welcome thread now.

Ah, Paul, you're singing my song! [Votive] I'm in a similar position myself I'd say. I think there is potential for a (non-advertisey) discussion about this - but maybe we could take it to the existing relationships thread? It is entitled 'A Truth Universally Acknowledged...' and is a little way down the first page in All Saints. Unless hosts are fine with continuing here I suppose - but might get more attention there. Not sure, I'm nearly a newbie here myself to be honest [Smile]

Thanks SG, yes saw that thread but seemed to be more about people reflecting on relationships, rather than a place to make new ones ... but I might be wrong?

Well, it's for generally discussing problems around lack of relationship/seeking a relationship/how to meet someone etc., whatever that entails, so it might be worth asking if people had suggestions for the sort of place/website to look/try. So you could explain your predicament again over there as people who are likely to be able to sympathise/advise best will probably check that thread from time to time. Worth a try.
