Anyone who has a moment right now - please pray for the situation in Hong Kong right now. It's approaching midnight - students and citizens are massing at government house - the police ostentatiously moved weapons and ammunition and reinforcements into govt. house this afternoon - please pray for calm and that the young people will remain rational, nonviolent, non-confrontational and that no-one gets hurt tonight.

It seems to have calmed a bit - the government gave a last minute press conference saying that they have appointed a top official to meet students and discuss constitutional devlopment.
The also promised 'highest level of police tolerance' as long as their lines are not charged.
There are still A LOT of people down there, though, so please pray if you have a moment. It will be an uneasy night.

Very, very bad situations developing there now. 'Counter demonstrators' (paid triad thugs) have moved in to attack students at several protest sites. The police presence is minimal. From what I can see the students are continuing a disciplined, peaceful protest in the face of very nasty violence and intimidation, including dozens of instances of sexual assault on female students.
Please pray for a lessening of tension; wisdom and decisiveness from the police; continued non-violence from the students; no more assaults.
This is a critical moment. Please pray if you see this thread.

It looks like tonight will be the night. Crackdown has been promised by the government. Prayers, please!
I will be out there tonight doing First Aid.
