Not sure if this has been covered before, I did a search and could not find anything.

Visited the Dr today for a DRE (finger up the bum) for prostate check up. All is well. However, I mentioned that I lose an erection just as penetration is about to happen, not always, it seems to be affected by where I am mentally. He prescribed Viagra and my question is has anyone had any experience with it, if so any adverse effects?

I haven't tried it yet.

This would be better in All Saints.

The finger test is not as easy as the blood test for PSA, but much more pleasant than a TRUB - trans-rectal ultrasound-guided biopsy, in which a pincer is fired through the rectal wall into the prostate, takes a snip, then repeats the snipping process at several different locations. At one stage, I had to have them at quarterly intervals. Avoid if possible.

As to Viagra: the slogan of Viagra Scaffolding is "We get it up". Draw your own conclusions.

If you find the issue is effected by your mnetal / emotional state Relate offer talking treatment that can help.

They also do a very good series of self-help books that can be of use.

2. Nasal congestion
3. Acid stomach

Viagra is meant for erectile dysfunction caused by physical issues. Getting an erection but losing it at the point of penetration suggests the problem may be more psychological. A more comprehensive assessment might be warranted.

Tried it for the first time today. Works well with number 3 being the only side effects so far!

I have a ring, actually a couple but not used them for years. Might give it a try soon....
