Please pray for my dad. Nearly 85, cancer for 14 years (bowel, prostate, bladedr, urethra). Diagnosis - no further treatment. Rapid deterioration.
An old fashioned conutryman - farm labourer for almost 60 years - looks like he's going home (like so many of that background do) with the autumn of the year.

May he have a safe journey and find at the end a place of light, refreshment and peace.

I will have to face this with my father sometime soon.
May he slip gently and easily back to the soil he loves.

May his passing be peaceful, may God's love embrace him throughout, and may you and the whole family be blessed with God's peace.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.

I am moving this OP from Exclamation Mark to this general prayer thread where all our faithful pray-ers can see it. I have left his original thread but closed it.
Many prayers for your Dad, EM. It is a very hard place to be in.
Original thread was titled Prayer for my Dad. I will close this thread but leave it here.
