For the past few years we've had a thread in November commemorating departed relatives and friends.

May they rest in peace, and eternal light shine on them. May those who mourn find solace.

My in-laws both and my mother, all too recent to not hear their voices in my head, and to think when the phone rings, it could well be them. And friend whom I am a little irked with because we planned for another conversation before he died: friendships and love are not ended with death are they?

My father and grandparents, a few decades ago now, gone but not forgotten.

My thanks for all they gave me.

The unborn baby lost to Mrs. Feet and I early this morning. I don't know whether 9 week old foetuses have souls, but we're feeling the loss nonetheless.

With gratitude for all that they brought us.

Ancestors known to me and the ones whom I never knew, but without whom, I would not be here.

Post in haste; repent at leisure. I must apologise to anyone I upset with my original, but Mrs. Feet and I were delighted to discover this afternoon that the event on Sunday morning was a false alarm and the foetus is alive and well. Thank you to all who sent their sympathies.

[Votive] for those who have not been so fortunate.

This may seem silly, but there are a few well-known folks that died this year that I didn't personally know, but who mattered to me:

--Leonard Nimoy (actor, author, photographer)

--Tom Magliozzi (co-host of "Car Talk" on NPR)

--Terry Pratchett (author, agnostic, and my favorite theologian).

[Votive] My father-in-law, who died eleven years ago. I keep finding books that would be perfect Christmas presents for him; this year it was 1000 Years of Annoying the French [Frown]

[Votive] My brother-in-law David. I never met him, because he died at the age of 5 fifty years ago.

I am so glad to hear your news and hope that the 9 week old 'toe' grows into a big foot.

Aye,aye, it is better to say 'to me' than 'to I'

From the moment of conception the foetus is loved by God who is the ultimate creator.
