Obviously the drivers sitting at the green traffic lights are waiting for their personal engraved invitations to proceed. I'm waiting for them to do so!

Breakthrough.
Actually, it's surprising how much of your life you do spend waiting for something. Trains, the kettle to boil, a call from someone you care about, that all-important job interview letter, lunch to be ready, the lottery results, the rain, guests to arrive, the sales, exams to finish, summer, the shops to open, the plumber to come...

What's waiting?
At the moment it's a glorious day, every door and window is open and a blossom scented breeze wafting through the house, as I sit in the dappled sunshine of my living room. (Might get sunstroke outside without a hat - it must be at least 24 degrees outside, and we semi Vikings don't all worship the sun sufficiently to want to fry in it.)
It's called living in the moment.

On the parenting forum I frequent, the 'what are you waiting for?' thread refers to whatever goodies we are waiting on from the Royal Mail.
I'm waiting for various sorts of mother of pearl buttons to sew on a reproduction ww1 nurse's uniform.

My birthday, in a few months. When I can cash in my pension, attempt to stop my house from falling to pieces, and prevent daughter & YT from freezing this coming winter.

An excellent, yet terrible response. And he's waiting for us.
Me, I am waiting 2 days to leave the soggy Maritimes with temps of just 10°C to head west, to home, farther a journey than going from here to England, and more expensive a plane fare, and sun, and the +30°s.

Photo's to upload. I should really stop using the internet for a while and go sew up my Dad's troosers instead. Also, I'm told I need to stop putting an apostrophe in photos.

Retirement
Probably a mistake as I've seen "aged 65" written on way too many headstones of similarly expectant males.
