On this day two fools in love got married. They have been married for 38 years. The pastor nixed the suggestion that the prelude should be "Here Come the Clowns."

Why 1 April? Two main reasons.

1) It was the one date that was open at the church.

2) It is an easy date to remember.

This is no joke--my wife, Nancy, and I were married on that date.

Many years, Gramps!

My niece told me that she got the news that she was pregnant with her now two year old daughter on April 1. It took some insistance to convince the father she was serious, and none of her siblings believed her until she repeated the news the next day.
