This is a rather silly game that's taking Facebook by low pressure system, and I'm enjoying it there, so I thought maybe people here might like it.
The idea is to post a hypothetical situation that turns an idea or phrase from some familiar pop song on its head. In general it involves the performer's name in some way. A bunch of examples:
What if Elvis Presley hadn't been caught in a trap?
What if Mick Jagger didn't realize it's only rock and roll?
What if the Mamas and the Papas had been Minnesota dreaming?
What if Bob Seger hadn't turned the page?
What if Sting only watched every third breath you take?
What if Frank Sinatra did it someone else's way?
(Can we keep it to one ponder per post to avoid seagulling? Courtesy is king.)
