Not done this for a couple of years. As it is bonfire night here in the U.K. this weekend I thought we could have our own display. What you do is post the sound of a firework. Please feel free to post atmospheric posts as well. Any none Brits are welcome to join in. I will start
Whoosh Bang.

Daddy - that looks like my nursery chair. Why is it on the bonfire?
Daddy, I don't like this soup. Daddy, I've spilled my soup. All down my trousers.
Daddy, I don't like the noise. Daddy? Daddy?

Feeling a bit peeved - there was an interactive fireworks site I used to use on the whiteboard at school, but Java now blocks it, and after I went to all the trouble of downloading and installing it. It was possible to choose where the fireworks went on that one.

Cattyish, contemplating where to watch some explosions later since the local ones are off (possibly because the field is saturated from all the Scottish weather we've been having).

I can't help wondering whether CGI didn't lend a hand there.
But then again, I always end up with the burned sausage.

Please help yourself to some homemade bonfire toffee.

Picks up broom and bucket of water, looks at remains of bonfire, spent rockets, burnt sausages, discarded toffee and teeth, and starts to clear up.
