Hello everyone,

A very dear and straight-identified friend has relocated to the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. She has felt uncomfortable with the anti-LGBT sentiment she has encountered, both from the pulpit and during coffee hour, at the parishes she has visited. She has lived in Texas before and understands that it may be difficult to find an explicitly LGBT-supportive church home in Dallas. Could anyone recommend an Episcopal or liturgically-oriented ELCA parish where the attitudes toward this particular Dead Horse are more moderate? Thank you in advance for your help.

Checking the Reconciling Works (and LBGTQ advocacy group in the ELCA), I find there is

First Untied Lutheran Church, Dallas

Can't tell from the web page just how liturgical they are, but encourage your friend to contact them and ask the question.

You may wish to investigate these:

Church of the Transfiguration

St Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church
