Y'know, what we actually need is a Degenerates Shipmeet for trading stories of our misspent youths and looking at all these disreputable websites that Coot knows of. Sine, want to go to Australia and visit the Cootster?

Oddly enough, I generally get my way in these matters.
Coot, having thoroughly examined every picture in that last link, I can truly say I've never seen such a dreadful collection of sofas. Disgusting. Truly disgusting.
Jen, the Coot and I have a deal that when I win the lottery, Oz will be the first stop on my luxury world cruise in my chartered mega-yacht.

In my younger and less discerning days, sad to say.
But I'd go for Sean Connery -even in Never Say Never Again.
And I actually like Pierce Brosnan, too. But my heart (and whatever ) belong to Sir Sean.

Damn. I'd really like to, uh, inject a reminiscence* here, but good taste restrains me. Wouldn't want to ruin my reputation.
*from before I found Jesus hiding behind the sofa, of course.
So, you were watching porn, and then found Jesus behind the sofa? Had he been watching too, and then had to have a bit of a lie down? Or did he have to hide from you? Or was he scared (like when you watch Dr. Who)? Or what? Why was Jesus behind your sofa whilst you were watching porn?
Inquiring minds and all that...

Madam, it was a number of years afterward that I found Jesus behind the sofa. I was doing a more than usually thorough cleaning. That same day I found a number of very stale M&Ms* under one of the sofa cushions.
It was a memorable day all round.
*Please don't ask me how I found out they were very stale.

Dammit I get too busy at work and don't have time to get on here for a week or so and what do I find has happened while I've been away?...... Bloody clients causing me too much work that I can't get on here and find out about this meet.
I hope I'm not too late to RSVP expressing my interest in attending. Sadly I can't attend in person, finances prohibit (damned sick animals causing the incurring of vets bills), but I'm sure I can organise video link up from the office. [ 02. February 2004, 23:02: Message edited by: Puppycat ]

I can certainly confirm that work's state of the art video conferencing facilities *cough cough* do have video taping capacity. So what is seen through the monitors can be taped. And if I tell everyone at work that it's a meeting of a Christian group no one will walk in and see on screen something they really ought not to see.
Having said that I recall various emails I've received from colleagues, they'd certainly not bat an eyelid

Surely you have macaroni & cheese over there. American children are raised on it. It's what makes American men strong and fearless and American women beautiful.
Or is it the other way round?

Yes, we have macaroni cheese here (for some reason either we leave the '&' out, or you put a gratuitous one in). Do you do the cheese the same way? A white sauce (cornflour, butter, milk, seasoning) with cheese added?
It's a bit more complicated in my household - with one child who won't eat cheese (except pizza), so I have to remember to reserve some of the macaroni for him to have with half a tin of tuna - then the others see it and ask why they can't have tuna as well! And two (and only two) of us like tomato puree added.

I have to ask, what exactly is Velveeta? aside, obviously, given the macaroni & cheese reference, from some form of cheese life force
