So be it. If High Mistress josephine chooses to acknowledge Her true position as Prime Bully of Hell, even though this has previously been carefully kept secret from everyone in Hell, I shall not countermand Her will. Long live the Queen of the Identical Drones!

Thomas, I consider myself superior to you because I'm smarter than you. A lot smarter. Really really a lot smarter. I write gooder too.

Just an observation. It appears that Tommy has issues with authority. He has stated (as above) that he "will not surrender, or submit to anyone".

I used to say the same thing.

When I was two years old.

Thanks, Thomas. I really appreciate the tip, being new at this. (Since last night, actually.) As a neophyte, I'd be grateful for any other hints you could pass on for successful drag.

(I can tell we're going to be friends already, have so many common interests.)

Just a wild stab in the dark, but I'm guessing Thomas brings down the house doing Gloria Gaynor's version of "I am what I am". I bet they're lined up to the back bar to stick dollar bills down his decolletage.

Well, that triggers some PTSD. Who would have thought the word "fun" could be so horribly misused. "Aren't these shoes fun looking?" Actually, no. Mostly because they're the three-billionth pair you've tried on so far.

Oh, RooK, thank you! I've been thinking that I really need to get a custom avatar and title, but I just couldn't come up with anything that I liked. Prime Bully of Hell and Queen of the Identical Drones -- I like it!

Or maybe the other way around: Queen of the Identical Drones and Prime Bully of Hell.

Sine, Grits -- I'm not much on making fashion choices. Which do you think fits better? And can you suggest an avatar to go with it?

Moving on to more serious matters...

Silver would be fine during the day especially in Edinburgh, I would think. But at the risk of contradicting Grits I wouldn't try it at night unless it was very clunky and artistic looking. You'd also probably have to put a lot of gel in your hair so you looked avant-garde rather than just poor.

If you can't afford platinum, buying some reasonably priced antique Victorian jet jewelry would be a better solution in my opinion. Also useful for mourning so you'd get a lot of bang for your buck.

I'd say "ask your husband" but he didn't even realize you wore make-up in your photograph. I think such a serious topic deserves it's own thread in Heaven.

The couture avatar is getting quite competitive and we wouldn't want you out in public in one that wasn't exactly right.

Thomas, I consider myself superior to you because I'm smarter than you. A lot smarter. Really really a lot smarter. I write gooder too.

Have you ever studied cults? Their social order and tactics are very interesting. The leader(s) has a carefully honed persona of benevolence, sounding reasonable and caring. Then there are the organizers, the enforcers and followers. It's a very basic structure that I've seen adapted on the Internet. Oh yes, and when someone identifies this structure, the first thing the cult does is mock it. I do expect people to come back and laugh while twisting what I say and claim I'm calling this a cult, but the parallels are still there.

Even if you are really really a lot smarter than I and a much gooder writer, that still doesn't make a person superior, it only makes them luckier. There will always be others who are smarter and better at doing things. We have a long history of people believing they are superior and they are the reason for so much oppression, suffering and death.

Thomas

And to Thomas... cult/community, potato/potahto. Whatever you call it, it's entertaining, it's educational, it PROMOTES THE INDIVIDUAL, it provides a universal arena for the sharing of ideas and personalities. In other words, it works. Thomas, why do you bother? You seem to be devoting a lot of time and energy to telling us what's wrong with the ship. Don't you have better things to do with your time? Do you honestly thing your criticism will have the effect of making us do things differently?

You seem to be saying that things should be done differently because you don't like the way they're done now. Why should we be interested in pleasing you?

The individual? You're a very intelligent woman and you know exactly what I'm talking about. You know perfectly well that there is no room for an individual in this "culture". If there were, attempts would be made to understand an individual, but it is clear that the demand is "do it our way, period".

Interesting you mentioned Kool-Aid. I became interested in cults when I lived in San Francisco and lived just a few blocks away from Jim Jones' The People's Temple. I help friends who were terrorize by him and his thugs. Some I couldn't help and they died in Jonestown.

I study cults as well--kind of a hobby of mine. and the reason everyone is laughing at you,TDF, is because you couldn't have picked a less likely person to be a cult leader, to want to be a cult leader, or has anything in her that can be turned into a cult leader.

Sine, on the other hand, has the kind of smarmy charisma that really needs to be watched.

I have a minor in Religious Studies focusing on New and Emerging Religious Movements. And I know that the quickest way to spot a cult leader is by the person pointing out others who are cult leaders.

So that puts Tom and Kelly at the top of the list. [Big Grin]

P.S. Tom, just say there are five lights and it will all end.

You seem to be saying that things should be done differently because you don't like the way they're done now. Why should we be interested in pleasing you?

This isn't about the ship. It's about a small group of people dominating a forum. When folks were having fun calling me a rebel without a clue, they were close. I am by nature a rebel and my entire life has been fighting what I saw was wrong. You would be surprised at how much I've accomplished in helping others and improving conditions. I'm not the kind of person who sees something wrong and walks away. This is certainly small in comparison to things I've fought, but I see it as important. I see that a lot of people have been wrongly accused and the abuse has certainly harmed.

When I see cruelty and viciousness on the net or in real life, I'll fight because it is my nature and my conscience. This has nothing to do with me.

Thomas
