Nope?
I've heard of Steve Ogrizovic and Chris Waddle. Never met then though.
My claim to fame is the time the phone rang in the middle of a supervision in College and it turned out to be Jeremy Paxman. Hands up if you know who he is.

Oh, I also walked straight into Paddy Ashdown in the Leeds University Union once. He'd been giving a talk or some such.

Ooo, Union, that reminds me. I've been to hear loads of famous people speak at the Cambridge Union. Does seeing famous people from the back benches of the debating chamber count? Because if it does I've met millions.

As much as going to a football match means you've met the players.

We once got a phone call from Arie Luyendyk.
(Two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500.)
(Which is a big auto race in the USA.)

I know Ellie says she's from Lincolnshire, but I'm wondering if perhaps she's really Canadian.

So, you've learned the first unwritten rule of the Ship - every mistake anyone makes is remembered by everyone else.

Possibly. Ask Sine about his indiscreet (um, Sine, "discrete" means something else. THANK you) original mention of his ice cream forks.
If you're lucky, it will become a part of the "in-joke" general stock and not follow you, personally, around like a lonely puppy.

Yes, you've got a 65-75% chance of that happening.

It's 65-70% dammit - if you're going to hound someone for a mistake, at least get it right
