Now there's no monstrance, no cruifix and not even the missal stand - just the four corner candles.
Do you think that the munx are testing our faith to see who will remain loyal?

The monstrance is still on the altar, but sideways on and therefore (presumably) empty.......
......and Ross, I prefer the Miraculous Glow theory to the Light-Bulb Theory too!

The monstrance has been back on the altar for a while now, but it is again senza Glow.
(Is it just my imagination, or are they letting Jesus spend more time out of his house lately?)

There must be other pressing duties to attend to today - no Mass , and the monstrance sitting out for quite a long time. Earlier this morning, when the monstrance was full-front, and presumably loaded, it was very dim and gloomy in the chapel. I suppose its hard to keep track of Who's where, when you're running a whole monastery. PB4S

Well, the monstrance is back in the middle of the altar again and so I assume that Jesus is being allowed out for tea time - but it's so dim in there it needs the eye of faith to discern him...

The monstrance is STILL out, in the dim light of the chapel.
I hope they haven't gone off and forgotten him. I do think they could give him enough light to read by.

The Missal Stand's on the Altar (it wasn't there earlier) and it's Saturday - they only advertise Mass for weekdays. Hmm, do I watch the monks or the lunar eclipse? Decisions, decisions!

And they're Massing! Or, at least, sleeping. And it's a Saturday - did they think they could sneak in and get a Mass in without letting us know? I wonder if Zimmer Lady's been told?

Given the time, it must be an anticipated Sunday mass. Very surprising for a monastic community.

Perhaps they've got some chocolate they want to eat and reckon that if they have a Mass now, it will be as good as Sunday and they can be let off giving up for Lent. And, if I watch the Mass, can I use that as an excuse too?

Mass is indeed in progress, although at the moment the only person I can see is Father......
I'm a bit hazy as to the cross-pond time difference, but would this be the Saturday Vigil Mass? I suspect it might be a bit early for that, though.

It's been hours now; the missal stand looks as though it's been definitely abandoned.
Could this be the monastic equivalent of the Marie Celeste?

Missal stand and crucifix on the altar, tabarnacle light replenished. Also a higher angle for camera showing ceiling lights - not seen that before. I think the lovely glow whern the monstrance is out is the centre spotlight switched on. I haven't seen any munx for ages and I want to know if there really are only two left. No time to watch out for them today.

I saw Mass this morning, with glimpses of The Mysterious Second Monk, Zimmer Lady, and a cameo by Small Furry Animal Woman. Now they've all gone (leaving the missal stand in place), but we still have the relatively wide-angle view.
