Yes, thank you Rossweisse.
I'll keep the tribute site up. As God is a god of time and space, I think it will count a little - and remind me to keep the Munx in my prayers each time I look at it.

In an idle moment when I should have been doing other things I googled for the Munx and found a prayer request for them, with a link to a prayer thread which gives some incidental information - I think Zimmer Lady may be Br Craig's mother, who's been thrown out with them.

Thank you, Margaret. Too bad that the diocese couldn't lend a hand, offer some support and encouragement, instead of pulling the plug like that. After all, Charity Begins At Home. Or is that way too old-fashioned?
Let's continue to pray that they can with-stand this set-back, and continue their work.

I did finally get Ann some of my screen grabs of the munx; she's put them up successfully, and I am inspired to send her more!

Oh, now this is getting seriously weird - I've just clicked on the link that Ann gave to see if there were any more updates on the munx yet, and found that the thread about their plight has been severely pruned. There are just basic announcements now, and all the comments have disappeared.
Have the Bishop's secret police raided the forum ?

Greetings, Shipmates! I am a new member of your forum - KC. I have been following the monks’ situation - that's how I found your site here. I asked Scot at your site for advice, and he suggested I post my request here. Having spoken with some who know the monks, the monks are in serious need right now in trying to find a new diocese home to receive them. At this stage of their lives (and their mothers, who are both very ill), they should not have to be worrying about where and how to live. It's terrible.
I understand the Ship of Fools forum does not want to organize a protest to affect the policies of a religious organization. But would any of you be willing as individuals - apart from and with no mention of Ship of Fools - be willing to send a brief “reference” letter, note, or email of sorts to the monks that they could use in appealing to other dioceses to receive them? I am writing one myself as an individual to send to them just briefly expressing what the site meant to me, between the online chapel visits and other aspects of their site, i.e. their writings. This might help them as they are under review by potential diocesan homes. It doesn't have to be long, just a sincere, respectful letter (no complaints about the handling of the situation please, although I’m sure we all feel the same). I just feel so badly for them that I want to help them. Presently, I believe we can still send to their email or their monastery address in Englewood, Florida; any mail would also be forwarded to their rental place once they move to temporary quarters.
If anyone needs the US Mail address or email information for the monks, you may email me apart from this forum at mgmtexec2@yahoo.com. I'm just asking individuals who were blessed by their site to send some support. “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” (quote Edmund Burke) Thank you very much.

Hello! Just a small update on the monks:
Even though they're not using the website email in an official capacity, they can still access it and receive emails sent to it. They don't know as yet if their current phone number will remain the same or not when they move to a rental place. I was also informed by some associates of theirs that they had been self supporting and the website was the only way they really had of getting any kind of feedback or financial support. So it's a difficult position they are in now. They are applying to different dioceses who are reviewing them for possible acceptance; I'm told that 2 have expressed some interest. Let's hope/pray that someone good takes them on quickly.
They have also just made arrangements to receive donations as moving all their stuff is costing a lot of money. If anyone feels they would like to donate, please contact me at mgmtexec2@yahoo.com and I'll send you the details. No pressure; just letting you know this option exists if you want to and are able to. I know that they will be equally pleased with supportive feedback
Thanks all for listening, er, reading!

The monks had until the middle of this week to move. My prayers are with them as they leave the monastery they worked so hard to build and hoped would be their home until 'retirement' into their little cemetery.
