You should be able to do so now: login, select "profile" at the top bar, choose "modify profile", enter your password near the top of the resulting page (it's a hassle, but you have to do this step for each skin you wish to view), select the skin from the pull-down menu near the bottom of the page and click the "modify profile" button. You can use the back button to get back the modify profile page after each new skin has loaded.

Thank you, Mertsinger! I enjoyed looking at all of them and I even ended up "borrowing" the pumpkin pie skin for myself, just because it's close to Thanksgiving.

ROUND TWENTY ONE : QUIZ SUMMARY
This round is open to Contestants and Also Rans alike but in this case MY judgement is final.
I want you to summarise the quiz so far in a way that is entertaining, humorous and intelligent, drawing on aspects of the quiz that we have played to date.
Your summary can be as long or as short as you like but remember that it is a summary. Too short and there will be insufficient detail. Too long and it becomes a narrative.
PM me your summary once complete. You have at least a couple of days to compose it. Once the round is closed your summaries will be published.
Good luck, and enjoy reliving your memories of the quiz.

hmm a summary of the quiz so far.
You know Quizzy you could make it harder, and make them present it in rhyming couplets. Just a suggestion.

ROUND TWENTY TWO : QUESTION TIME
In this round the remaining competitors are required to set ten questions each for the rest of us to solve at our leisure.
The answers to those questions must be available on the internet and I will ask for proof of that once the questions have been set.
The following rules apply for this round:
Q1 - Q3 All those attempting answers must get all these right. (you lose a point if anyone gets one wrong)
Q4 - Q6 At least half those who attempt answers must get these right. (you lose a point for everyone over halfway who gets one wrong)
Q7 - Q9 At least one person who attempts must get these right. (you lose a point for every one that was not got)
Q10 This one can be devilishly difficult.
YOU HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT UK TIME ON WEDNESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER TO POST YOUR QUESTIONS ON THIS THREAD.
We all then have until midnight UK time on Sunday 30th November to PM answers to QM (I will be having a go too).
After that I will want the answers (with proof of internet existence) so that I can mark all the efforts of competitors and also-rans alike.

OK everyone, here are my ten questions for round twenty two. They all have to do with my home, career and hobbies:
Q1 – What are the odds of being dealt a perfect 29 point hand in a game of cribbage?
Q2 – What time in the morning is the Sunday service at the church where I serve as pastor?
Q3 – In what year did the congregation I currently serve originally organize?
Q4 – What was the name of the town where my church is located before it received its current name in 1889?
Q5 – Of the two lakes in the immediate vicinity of the town I serve in, what is the name of the smaller one?
Q6 – When the Pilgrims first set sail from England for the New World in the Mayflower, what other ship attempted to accompany them?
Q7 – What are the first six English words of the Gospel according to St. John as translated by John Wycliffe?
Q8 – What is the body material used in tying a Leadwing Coachman?
Q9 – Describe a difference between the ‘bluegill’ and ‘redear’ varieties of sunfish which does not have to do with their coloration.
Q10 – What was the last officially reported weekly average attendance at the church where I serve as pastor?
Have fun! It shouldn't be that hard. ![[Biased]](wink.gif)

I have no horse in this race, but may I just rudely interupt to boast that 8 (maybe 9) out of 10 of Surfing Madness's questions are things I know without even hardly thinking about them and the answer to one of them is the name of a place I have often been to and worshipped in the parish church of.
BUT that the very nature of the questions shows a disturbing familiarity with a certain half-county which is FAR inferior in ALL ways to its greatly superior half-county immediately adjacent. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif) [ 24. November 2008, 18:15: Message edited by: ken ]

I may no longer be local but from the questions you can guess where i come from, the church mentioned is round the corner from where i grew up. I would disagree with you over which half of the county is better though!

I've gone for themes for my questions, so
Countries (I have a world map on my wall): 1. Which are the only two countries that are doubly landlocked? 2. In which country would you find the place Timbuktu? 3. If you listed all the countries alphabetically, which would come at the end?
Flags (it matches my name): 4. What building is the only actual building (as in it exists somewhere) to feature on a national flag? 5. Whose flag is the only flag to be flown upside down when a state of war is declared? 6. Which two national flags are exact squares?
Chemistry (well I am doing a PhD in it afterall): 7. What is the main metal found in the human body? 8. What is the name of the coupling reaction which uses a compound of tin? 9. A compound of which metal is known to turn people's eyes black (the cornea of the eye)?
General knowledge: 10. In the sequel to a famous children's story by the author of I capture the castle, what is the name of the prime minister's dog?

The only potential problem is that the questioner's rivals will probably be able to get an easy 10/10 on their quiz. But then again, Quizmaster hasn't specified what reward there is for getting an answer right, so it may even be advantageous for those left in the quiz to deliberately get questions wrong, so as to cost their rivals points. Not that I'd advise it as a strategy...
On the other hand, I can see no potential drawback in bribing a willing also-ran (or possibly several, bearing in mind Q4-6) to get all your competitors' questions wrong, thus costing them points. Who'll start the bidding? ![[Devil]](graemlins/devil.gif)

Competitors - please let me have your answers together with links to where they can be found on the internet.
I shall attempt to mark all answers tomorrow evening when we will eliminate the final non-medal winner.
Thanks to all the Also Rans who have had a go and it is not too late to PM me your answers if you have not yet attempted the questions.
See you here tomorrow same time same place.

Whew! The chemicals and Geekapalooza were the hardest for me. Sorry flags_fiend and Mertseger.
I enjoyed learning about the flags, though! That was interesting, as was learning of a children's book I'd like to try but had never heard of. Same with learning more about Kurt Vonnegut.
Surfing Madness, I'm sorry you're homesick. And Mertseger, I'm sorry I did so poorly; I tried.
Best of luck to you four!

I feel confident that I answered all the questions with correct answers. Unfortunately for the competitors, their questions may not match my answers.

No problem, AW! I was betting that the remaining competitor's scores would be more important than the deductions, and so my strategy was to make the quiz tough. That strategy may fail, but it's nevertheless gratifying to hear that at least one person found it to be a challenge.
