Did anyone have Walter Breuning? Apparently he was the world's oldest man. The oldest person (Besse Cooper) is 26 days older.

I shouldn't imagine anyone had him (and points for him would have been in minus-numbers), but a man claiming to be "Britain's oldest worker" has died, possibly aged 104.

Just for tenaciousness, I think he deserves an Honourable Mention; may he rest in peace.

Sorry for the double-post, but I just noticed in the Telegraph that Mr. Lucas has died. That only leaves Captain Peacock - it's getting just like Dad's Army: "He's dead, he's dead ..."

In the saturation news coverage of OBLs death, you could easily miss "Whispering" Ted Lowe of snooker commentary fame, aged 90. Also, Professor Richard Holmes, an excellent military historian and broadcaster, aged 65.

He's more well known here in the U.S. for the theme song to the show Golden Girls. I doubt many, including me, knew he was responsible for the singles recorded by other artists.

ETA: The Golden Girls has had one cast member die every year since 2008. I wonder if Andrew Gold will buy some time for Betty White, the last remaining cast member.
