I have done an extensive review of doctrine in my church. The inevitable conclusion of the teachings of the church fathers is that the OP in this thread is doctrinally unsound.

Had our so called administrator bothered to check with me first, I would have been pleased to inform him that

is, and always will be, heretical. Of course, I have no desire to be overly harsh so I want you readers to understand that heretical here is used in only its technical sense. There is nothing in our teachings that says that

leads to eternal damnation, although a good long period in Purgatory is probably merited. Fortunately, Mr. Cresswell has already served a good long time in Purgatory, so he has little to worry about in this instance.

As to Evensong not understanding what Alan meant with

I can only say that sometimes the less said, the better.
