Sadly, it hasn't seen the film in today's quiz, and it gets just as confused as I do between Greek and Roman gods.

I managed to miss an entire question - I can't remember the last time I did that.
Had a fairly catastrophic effect on my ranking ...

Quite.

Neither have I read Moby Dick, but the ship's name came lurching out of my memory of Cliff's Notes®
Which is probably more information than you need of my reading of boring novels in High School, when I lived closer to the edge. My English marks reflected this.

Not content with 'Murcan film and TV questions (which I guessed correctly) they have to put in a question about a minor official in a place I've never heard of (which I didn't).

It's not broken - it obviously has about as much interest in baseball as I do, i.e. none.

Young Ariston, he with the lightening swift brain and nimble fingers, has knocked me from the top of the pile.
So Piglet, the Guessometer's help on that same question went for naught. Maybe there should be a Whippersnapper lightening quiz and an old fogey's strolling quiz!

I often think that, but just occasionally, young Ariston lets his speed get the better of him and gets a question wrong.
Not very often though ...
