I have always been a woman who arranges things, For the pleasure and the profit I derive; I have always been a woman who arranges things- like luncheon parties, daffodils and lives
I put my hand in here, I put my hand in there
The song is from Hello Dolly, Best version: Carol Channing, though am told by a globe trotting acquaintance that Bette Midler is wowing them on Broadway now. ![[Axe murder]](graemlins/lovedrops.gif)

Bewildered old lady from OZ. [1] Yes, Ready Steady Go was the song. Didn't know who it was by. [2] Go tell it on the Mountain is a Gospel Song {I think]. Sung by lots of people , usually en masse[ as opposed to in mass!] [3] Rocky Mountain High is a great song. Didn't know any one but John Denver sang it. [4] Now I don't know what we are up to: If it is Rocky Mountain High, then High Hopes

I only know that song from the musical 'The Boy From Oz' - and Hugh Jackman played the lead on Broadway.
So I could post all sorts of songs from the lovely Mr 'Huge' Jackman (or Jack Human as a friend calls him). Do I go for Les Mis? Or The Greatest Showman? No, I'll go back to when I saw him on stage in London, prior to when Hollywood came calling. And my goodness, the testosterone reached up to the back row.

Hugh Jackman[lovely man] was the replacement for the definitive Peter Allen as played by Todd McKinney, in the run of The Boy from OZ when premiered in Australia.. The producers wanted a NAME for Broadway and so Hugh got the job.

Randy Newman knows how to write a tear-jerker. Add in Peter Gabriel’s beautiful vocals and the Black Dyke Mills Band (who are not what you’re thinking...) and

"GOING HOME, GOINGHOME, I AM GOING HOME" to the tune from Dvorak's the New World Symphony;
best version I have heard is an Australian tenor called David Hobson with a backing choir from South Africa and drum accompaniment. Absolute Magic. Real Tearjerker.

There's a fair chance I've posted this before - one of my very favorite songs.

When you are weary, leave your troubles Behind and Go Down Town .
Petula Clark mid 60's
In answer to the enquiry about the David Hobson track: thee CD was called "In my father's house", re released in 2013, and I believe it's available on I tunes. Just Google David Hobson tenor. It5's a great CD co -written with David Herschfelder who wrote the music for "Shine". about David Helfgott. Seem to be a collection of Davids, doesn't there? Maybe the next singing group?
