And then there are stories of people buying inexpensive homes in Florida (at one time) and then every few years having to rebuild with government grants after a hurricane comes through, wiping their house out. New houses worth more than what the original house would have been through normal equity growth.

What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
