Prayers for comfort for the mousehold. We've learned our dog has cancer. Littlest is out with friends, so we are going to wait until tomorrow evening when we can all go down and be there when he crosses over. Those of us home right now are all torn up, and trying to be cheerful for the trick-or-treaters.

Prayers for the mousehold. I dread that day when it comes to the Pigwidgeon house.

[Votive] For the Mousehold

Eldest Daughter is to marry in about a year's time so we are into the tension convention known as "Wedding planning". Tomorrow is step one and we will check out a couple of venues. I expect the expense will be the least of our worries.

Shedding a couple of tears for MT and family, perhaps in part in memory of my beloved late dad weeping over our last dog.

Prayers offered for the repose of all souls. May the Church on earth, the Church in purgatory and the Church in glory be one community in this month and always.

And praying for the other intentions here, fathers-of-brides-to-be included.

[Votive] For WW, the mousehold, and all here.

[Votive] For all those affected by the terrorist attack in NYC, and for all still facing the aftermath of natural disasters elsewher.

[Votive] For Jane, for the acceptance of her new limitations.

Thank you for the prayers for me. The medical folks at Charles De Gaulle found nothing wrong, and released me; it's still concerning, because it's the second time this has happened in a relatively short time. It's cramping my style. (But I had a wonderful time in France!)

For Huia and those affected by the attack in New York.

For the mousehold, in the loss of their dog. May your companion be raised up on the last day.

For daisymay

For Eldest Daughter Sais, for peace.

For Erroneous, remembering Erroneous Dad, remembering Erroneous Dog.

The late Teledad cared deeply for our cats, he was that kind of man.

For the repose of all souls.

For all still facing the aftermath of all the natural disasters that have happened one after another.

For Jane.

For Rossweisse, for healing and uncramping of her style.

For Golden Key, for healing.

For WW ditto.

For Abigail to be lifted up.

Yeah so my major grant was declined, and for… not good reasons (e.g. “you’re obviously not familiar with the literature or you would have read this wodge of papers that were published after you submitted this proposal”). There were stellar reviews at the other end of the spectrum, but those weren’t enough to save the proposal from the one who panned it. It’s encouraging that my supervisors and everyone in my network thinks this is bollocks, but I’m still not employed and therefore my ability to support myself into the future is damaged in ways I’m too old to recover from.

If I could just get the seed funding I applied for, the research itself can still go ahead. So, please…

Also for P. in a similar situation.

For K., for healing.

For the Telemum, for also the Telecousins who have lost their sister.

A large 4WD ploughed into a demountable classroom full of 8 year old pupils today. Two little boys died and three girls are in hospital, one in a serious condition. The teacher was hurt, and many other pupils as well. The driver has been chaarged with dangerous driving. One of the boys was caqught under the car and four men who were quickly on scene as neighbours lifted the car to get him out. So sad.
