it's the parentheses in the URL that are the problem. Wikipedia, but few other sites, regularly uses parentheses. Tinyurl, or similar, to turn the address into something without strange characters is your only real option.

The space in the URL tag is inserted by the UBB software when it fails to parse the address. No idea why it does that.
