The FAQs say I can edit my own posts "for the two minutes immediately following post submission..." But I don't see the instructions for doing this (and I just messed up a post in Heaven by hitting "Add reply" instead of "URL." I tried the back button -- no luck.

There's a collection of "instant smilies" below the reply window. Just click on which of those you want and it'll insert the relevant code in your post. If you're using InternetExplorer it'll go in at the cursor position, otherwise at the end of the post.
There's a limit of 8 smilies per post.
