Joke submitted by KenWritez:

Three nuns were talking.

The first nun said, "I was cleaning the Father's room the other day and I found pornographic magazines!"

"What did you do?" the other nuns asked.

"Well, of course I threw them all in the trash."

The second nun said, "Well, I can top that. I was in the Father's room putting away the laundry and I found a box of condoms."

"Oh my," gasped the other nuns. "What did you do?"

"I poked holes in all of them," she replied smugly.

The third nun said, "Oh shit."

The jokes are getting samey.

Christians are not perfect and are interested in sex.

Anything else new?

I remember this joke well (it's slightly older than Mount Everest itself, not the climb to the top). Novice nuns used to whisper this to one another and share a naughty giggle. In most versions I heard, there is an entire group of nuns hearing this - they all are shocked except for one who laughs - then the punchline is all laughing and one shocked.

I suppose that the reason I did not find it funny is that it is such an old and tired joke. In fact, as a novice I did not laugh so hard as the others, because I was an older candidate - the others, aged 18 or so and unusually innocent for their age, probably were giggling, as one does in the schoolyard at age 12, at the 'knowledge' of what a condom is.

I would say this joke could be effective were it told by the right comedian - gestures and vocal inflections would be essential. It is not offensive, but it is just too trite.

It may not be new, but it is somewhat complicated. Very well written: one could see this as a skit on TV. I laughed my socks off (well, if I had been wearing any) and feel it is the second funniest joke here so far.

In real life, I'm not acquainted with any nuns under age 60, so I fancy all the players must be teenagers or university-age novices. Hardly offensive, but then I'm not a nun nor am I a priest.
