Doesn't say you CAN'T be sexist, but it does say the general licence to be offensive in Hell doesn't make you immune from attack if you are sexist, racist etc.

This was in answer to SC's defence that he was being 'mindlessly Hellish' in what he said and that calling him on it was somehow against the spirit of the Hell board.

Are we then back to "Waiting for Evensong" a la "Waiting for Godot"?

There could be an embryo PhD thesis theme in this somewhere.

Could Evensong's continuing "performance art" be best summarised by correctly intoning the "answer" to all koans "Mu"?

The mind boggles.

But not for long.

If you value your ass, the last thing you should be in Hell is "mindless". Real hellions are anything but mindless. Vulgar, mean-spirited, critical, creatively nasty, yes, but the brains are definitely in gear.

Explain to me how that is not a suggestion to gang rape.

It's not, really but what it is is the rapey, sexually charged, belittling rhetoric that some guys fling at women to appear badass. It's exactly the kind of thing ThomasDF would have said. It's a lot like Boom Boom Limbaugh calling that journalist chick a whore-- or wait, he didn't actually SAY that, we all oversensitive people HEARD that.

I don't think it's badass at all.I consider it chickenshit. A master-class hellion is scathing while avoiding chickenshit rhetoric that lowers his/herself.

And Evensong if you're out there reading this, next time you feel like pissing all over a thread for your own entertainment, remember that there are people you are pissing on that will have your back for the important stuff. And pull up our socks.

Why the bloody hell do you think only females are uptight when they're not getting enough? I'm male and it sure as hell applies to me.

You know, I have heard this kind of thing before and wonder how the hell it started. When the hell did the rumor start that only people who never challenge anything anyone says understand Hell?

You can be as nasty and horrible as you want in Hell. AND people get to say anything they damn well please about it. Fuck that "you're a fluffy bunny if you call people on their shit" shit.

Well, if we're on names, before I close this thread, why the ever-living fuck does everyone spell Motherboarde (as in ye olde) without the E? It's right there above her avatar.

Now give me a good reason I shouldn't send this thread to where it belongs. Which ain't here.

eta: Although I do love the idea of Evensong singing the 119th Psalm in one go. (That's the one that goes on and on and on, right?)

You're evil Chorister. I like that. Come back, soon, eh?

If this thread is going to be about names, could it be at least partly about the long ranger's name?

One day, the long ranger and his faithful sidekick, Tongto were riding across the Montana plains. Abruptly, Tongto reined in, stepped out of the saddle, held up his hand for silence, then pressed his ear against the ground.
A few moments later, Tongto proclaimed,"Buffalo come!"
"That's amazing, Tongto, how did you determine that?" the long ranger asked.
"Face sticky!" came the reply.

You ought to go back to where you belong - the unemotional and logical place that exists solely in your own imagination. And clearly is not a place where God happens to visit - given that it is not a place that actually exists.

To continue:

Tongto heard horses.
'Three horses, Kemo Sabe.'
The long ranger looked up from behind the rocky outcrop and through his eagle eys recognised Sine Nomine, Zach82 and SilverFaux.
'Well Tongto, looks like we've had it'
'We' replied Tongto, 'who are "we", paleface?'

Come on Long ranger. Tell us how old you are. We're all just dying to know!

They day you take classes in comprehension and logic will be the day when I tell you any, any personal details.

Fuck off, mind your own business and leave me alone.

But just to be awkward, I can tell you I have a teenage daughter, so I am probably not as young as you think.

It so happens that I have a degree in philosophy and English, and have taken many classes in comprehension and logic. So cough it up, pork chop!
