God of all comfort, we pray to you for those we love but see no longer. Grant them your peace; let light perpetual shine upon them; and in your loving wisdom and almighty power work in them the good purpose of your perfect will.

For those Shipmates we know of on the everlasting ship: deuce2, Erin, Gambit, Genevieve, jlg, Kenwritez, koholeth, Little Masha, Miss_Molly, Ruth W2, Sidi, TimC, TonyCoxon,

And for all we remember at All Souls tide

For parents and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special prayer for my dear cousin Kathleen, who out of all my family I think knew me best, and knew the best of me.

For all whom I've had the privilege of ministering to in their last hours and days of life: I long ago lost count of you all, but nevertheless I bear each one of you in my heart.

For my parents and other relatives and friends - and for Syam, who was so desperate at 14 years old that he took his own life - and is still missed by so many locally.

My mom, 11.17.87, only 66 years old. Too young.
My dad, 02.05.11 at age 96

Nellie Eugenia, my father's sister, died at age two of typhoid ca. 1916. I learned of her short life only when going through my father's papers. Rest in peace, little girl, my aunt.

Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.
