Can anything bring sport into disrepute more than this? I'm getting awfully cynical about anyone who doesn't give to charity anonymously.
As someone on the News Quiz (BBC R4) said yesterday: "this sends out completely the wrong message - it's like we're trying to tell young drug-takers that cycling is 'cool' ". .

TICTH UEFA and various European football associations for doing nothing about their racist supporters.
All English clubs were banned for five yeas from all UEFA tournaments following a particularly awful incident involving supporters of just one club, but racist abuse is a regular thing across the Balkans and Eastern European and even Spain and Portugal which have black players in their national sides.
UEFA, stop holding symposia and meetings and cut out the pious handshakes, and kick these arseholes out of the game.

People around here drive like a bunch of Ayn Rand enthusiasts.

Regardless of the etiquette of two in a row: TICTH exclusive bonus tracks added to albums in an attempt to make fans buy multiple copies in order to get every track. No, I'm not going to buy the iTunes version and the Amazon version alongside the physical CD version I actually want, just for 1 track. And that's assuming you don't use the wonders of modern technology to restrict your special versions to particular countries. I can order a CD from America, but I can't buy anything from the American iTunes store. Progress? Don't make me laugh.

TICTH you dickless wonders who when daring to overtake another speed-averse pussy take a 5 minute run at it gradually reeling them in like some geriatric wormhole and then noticing me in your rear-view mirror decide to keep accelerating at your pitiful rate for another 5 minutes before finding yourself at 80mph lurching back to the inside lane and in a truly worrying fashion and decelerating back to a “safe” speed while wittering away to your myopic wife who now smells of old lady wee that you showed that youngster how to drive properly. TICTH the change in policy that means that the GP will no longer say "you need some time off work" or "you're OK to go in to work" and instead ask you to make the decision about whether you're fit to work or not. I made the mistake of going back before I was properly well last week. What makes you think I'll be any wiser this week? And I feel a wimp actually saying "please will you sign me off for a few days more?".... reminiscent of asking my mum to write me a note! You're the expert - you surely know better than I do whether I am a)likely to infect others and b) likely to delay my recovery if I go back.
