TICTH software that doesn't uninstall itself properly and leaves bits everywhere. I'm plagued with an antivirus notification every time the pc starts up, reminding me that I haven't updated the software - no, because I deleted it 8 months ago. I've done everything I can think of, even edited the registry three times, and something is still there somewhere prompting the notification.
It's also screwed up the Outlook program but I have somehow now managed to reduce Outlook's loading time from nearly an hour (yes) to 10 minutes. Progress!

If this is Norton, there is a removal tool that you can download from their website. You have to search for it, though - they don't make it easy.

TICTH the Police Commissioner elections. The only information we've had about the candidate's policys has been an article in today's paper and a flyer put on the car windscreen a few weeks ago when we were out shopping. Darllenwr was the 32nd voter of the day at our local polling station - at 4pm. Sorry, but whether PCCs are a good or bad thing, the elections have been a disaster. And they wonder why there is such a poor turn out...

Okay, four or five separate people have pulled this stunt on me in the past couple months, and so far I have been trying to apply Franciscan empathy and charity, but in order to do that, I have to get this out of my system:
It manifests itself in a number of ways-- sometimes it will be in the form of mean personal jokes ("don't be so sensitive!") Hypercritical remarks ("what, you can't take feedback?") or dismissal of any problems/ concerns I might have ("Who worries about petty shit like that? Grow up and deal and stop whining!")
Any attempt to set boundaries is me "being an unreasonable bitch" and any references to life issues that might be happening are "dodging the consequences" or evidence that if I only lived my life the way X did (insert prescriptive here) I wouldn't have such problems. I made my bed, I should lie in it, I deserve no pity or camaraderie or slack.
Then, after repeated such incidents, I get fed up and I snap, and say ENOUGH. Or someone X actually cares about having a rapport with says, "don't you think you're being harsh?" and the same damn thing happens every time.
"You have to understand I: just heard a friend died just broke up with my girlfriend. have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and am afraid of what they will say."
At which point I guess I am supposed to say, "Oh it's OK, then. Even though I see you making an effort to be polite and civil to everyone else, I guess I should be honored that the fact that you use me as a punching bag affords you some release. In fact, thank you, give me some more."
Fuck that.
God didn't put me on this earth to be your scratching post when times are hard. When you use me that way, you make the choice to actively erode any sympathy and rapport you might have with me. If it happens consistently, I am going to work on the premise that my sympathy and rapport is not something you need-- and you don't get it.Simple as that. There's something I wrote up there about "sucking up consequences"-- right?
Anyway, TIC Those people TH. I deserve better. Next time try telling me what the issues are BEFORE you start scratching, and you might be surprised to find I have better uses than a scratching post.
And also (sad to say, I feel a strong need to do this) TICTH anybody who is about to send me a PM scolding me about my bad attitude. Guess what? Sometimes I have a bad attitude. That's true of anyone who carries human DNA. Deal.

Fuck you, Loquacious beachcomber.
First, because I am beyond tired of seeing women's strong expression of emotions written off as being driven by the hormonal changes we undergo in both menstruation and menopause.
Second, because I have lost countless nights of sleep due to recurrent hot flashes and have continued to treat people well despite how moronically some of them behave.
So again -- fuck you.

Depends jokes are ageist, but at least old age happens to everyone fortunate enough not to die young or middle-aged. The sexism of the menstruation and menopause jokes is not so universal.

TICTH the idiot who took three unleashed, very large dogs onto the hike/bike trail, managed to get two under control, and ignored the third, which waited until I passed by, ran up behind me and tried to grab my foot, and instead, ran face-first into my kickstand facing backwards along the side of my bike, injuring his mouth and teeth. There are signs on the trail to keep dogs leashed, asshole. Dogs can't read; you should have. Shit, this is taking a long time to post!

As I recall, you gibbering fuckstard, one of the terms of your continued presence here is your conduct being likened unto an absolute paragon of Shiply Virtues™. For the record, picking on Kelly "Cries-At-Beer-Commercials" Alves for emoting would have been fine. The sexist angle is C1 territory you need to be avoiding. Using sexist language as a means of promoting your anti-ageist agenda is fucking moronic, even for you.

Today I consign to Hell all those gutless potshots at a poster who cannot effectively answer back on this thread. Have the courage to call him to Hell or shut the hell up. And yes I can tell the difference between an admin directive (ie I get RooK's post) and the sniping.
And No I am not calling you to hell for it. And yes, I recognise the hypocrisy.
If you are so unable to follow the simple friggin rules... may your ipods with the 'breathe in, breathe out' instruction run flat.

TICTH matter. That's right - matter. The entire observable universe. Fuck it and the horse it rode in on. And specifically the stuff that accumulates in my house and I'm not allowed to throw out because it might be precious to someone despite the fact it's been lying around on a flat surface for the better part of a month without having a second thought given to it it's that precious. You would have all died of being crushed under towering piles of crapulent waste if it wasn't for me. Neither would you have any clean clothes to wear, food to eat or a house to store your piles of precious crap. The garden would be inside and the roof on the floor for all the concern that any of you show for the upkeep of your living space and we're all one good fire away from a fresh start so help me God. The first chance I get to sublime, I'm out of here.

I, a sometimes-driver and sometimes-cyclist, TCTH that subset of motorists, a handful of individuals, who do rolling starts from their side-roads as I cycle in front of them on the main road.
It really gets under my skin, because I worry they haven't seen me.
It might be impatience, but in fact it makes me slow down, because I can't be sure that they have seen me and aren't about to accelerate. So we are both there a bit longer than we need to be.
And it freaks me out every time, especially since someone actually did accelerate out of a side road last week and clipped me before they stopped.
(Note wording to avoid tribal war between cyclists and motorists).

TICTH the guy who has just told me the information on the website for the event he is organising is wrong. Well, yes, the page I suspect you've found is last year's event information. Nothing has been linked in for this year yet. If nobody has given me the information for this year then I don't know what to put up. Sorry, right out of the telepathic superpower, been trying for a while and really can't tap into it.
For the umpteenth bloody time if you want your event advertised on the website, then you have to pass on the information. And if you want posters on the noticeboard they get up there a whole lot quicker if you just deliver them to the right place. Telling me to go somewhere else to collect them makes me feel less than helpful too.
