17/20. I didn't get the pop music question, which was fair enough, but I'm a bit dubious about the other two questions I got wrong.
One was "what has the mark 7 sonic screwdriver been used for?" The "correct" answer was to heat a teapot, but this was not on tv but in a short story published on the BBC website(!). I said "turn off lights" in reference to "Flesh and Stone" where the Doctor had to turn off the lights to open the door to escape the Angels.
The other question I got wrong was "which actor didn't audition for the Doctor?" I said Russell Crowe but apparently the right answer was Timothy Dalton. But I can find no corroborating evidence that Russell Crowe ever auditioned for the role - does anyone know if this is true?
I'm really taking this far, far too seriously... ![[Biased]](wink.gif)

I seem to remember it was when one of the US television networks was interested in buying Dr Who as a franchise to make a more "american" version (after the McGann film and before Ecclestone). Crowe was seen as suitable non-American but familiar enough for the role. Other ideas included the Hoff as the Dr and giving the Tardis an enormous pair of lips and a speaking part.

Ah, yes, that's it! I've tracked down a source... Russell Crowe is on the long list of actors who were considered or auditioned for the 1996 TV movie:

Apparently Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford and Jim Carrey were the studio's top 3 choices, so I'm very glad we ended up with Paul McGann in the end. As much as the TV movie was a mess, it could have been much, much worse.
