This is an idea for a game - I posted this bit in Ecclesiantics as an idea for an all age worship for a tricky patron saint, but it was suggested I started it as a Circus game*
  1. This is the church where we go
  2. This is the lady who cares for the church
    where we go
  3. This is the person who visits the village/town
who thanks the lady who cares for the church
    Where we go
And this list goes up to ten lines. The final verse from the original story is:
quote:
This is the farmer sowing his corn
That kept the cock that crowed in the morn
That waked the priest all shaven and shorn
That married the man all tattered and torn
That kissed the maiden all forlorn
That milked the cow with the crumpled horn
That tossed the dog that worried the cat
That killed the rat that ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built!

I suggest that we number and add a line each up to 10, then stop and start a new version, starting with:

The Ship where we post

(they don't have to rhyme, although I did use post as something that rhymed easily)

Or hurl you through a window of glass,

that sees the alien who visits the ship,
who remembers the lady that we miss the most,
On the ship where we all post.

OK enough on the Ship theme now - a) because it's long enough and b) because we don't really like prolonged use of Ship names in games, as they inevitably end up being derogatory or overly sycophantic.

Anyone got a good idea for the next theme?

2. This is the cathedral at the heart of the See
Where the next incumbent is Justin Welby.

(Is it allowed to change the lines that much? Information the same but words are different - I was trying to avoid rhyming See with C)

And Hull is the place the Velodromon destroyed.

Hmm, not quite as good as "Circus rats," but I'll come up with something else to call you, my mighty legions of the Velodrome, before Hull is fallen.
