For healing for Zacchaeus' S.

For healing for Morlader.

For that dragging-on task...

For funding for me to stay in post.

For G. and for S., for healing.

Y. seems to have passed her exam, thank You!

As much as I have developed severe scepticism about God's receptiveness of our prayers and protection of us given that this scenario ever entered our lives:

For M as she prepares to testify next week against the man who violently attacked her and worse on a bright summer's morning at her job looking after children, for all of us who are not sleeping except to have troubled dreams, for the court for fairness and justice, that we might have a guilty plea that will spare all of us additional heartbreak and sorrow, for her strength and that we can support it. That everyone could be as thoughtful, decent, honest and helpful as the police have been. That we are thankful that it is not a murder trial.

Prayers needed for my 12-year-old nephew Rhys: his vision has seriously degenerated over the last six years. He has tunnel vision and no night vision. He is getting an MRI and test for retinitis pigmentosa later this month. We have no grandchildren and the lad means the world to me. He is my younger sister's only son.

I have just found out that I have an interview next Friday for a 6 month job I'd really like. I don't have much preparation time (marking essays this weekend, working Mon-Thur), so prayers for a clear head and good use of what time I have (not to mention for success, obviously!) would be really appreciated. Thank you [Smile]

For no_prophet's M, as she prepares to testify next week against the man who violently attacked her, for the children involved, for all who cannot sleep in their distress, for the court of fairness and justice, that they might have a guilty plea that will spare all of them additional heartbreak and sorrow, for M's strength and that no_prophet and the others can support it. That everyone could be as thoughtful, decent, honest and helpful as the police have been.

For healing for Sir Kevin's Rhys. For strength for Sir Kevin and his younger sister.

For the young family in Lamb Chopped's church, especially the two little boys. For his wife and his parents too. For their finances.

For healing for St. Gwladys' S.

For Jack the Lass to get that job.

I have a discussion next week about a redeployment possibility, which would be second best to staying in my current post. Yay!

For the dragging-on task... Thank you for the support and pitching-in of colleagues here.

For M.

For R. and J.

For G's eyesight.

For the Telemum.

For what I am about to whisper.

For K., for healing.

For me to stick to my goals.

It looks like I have an opportunity to realise a long-standing ambition as soon as some paperwork comes through. Oh please, oh please!

For my ever-leaking pockets.

For Auntie Telenun, for healing.

Continued prayers for both my depression and my back pain would be appreciated.

My antidepressant dosage has been increased and I've been signed off for 2 weeks.

I would like the pain clinic to notify me as to when they can do the injections in my back. The cold weather does not help it at all, and I'm wary of slipping/falling on icy pavements and any jolt would make things worse.

I'd also appreciate prayers for tomorrow morning when my landlady is coming to inspect the house. My "boyfriend" has assisted me in cleaning each room but I'm frightened it won't be enough.

[Votive] Whitney Houston, rest in peace. I'm just quite sad. She was one of those very few artists whose voice and songs were an accompaniment to a major segment of my life. And she died too young. But what a voice. Hearing her singing on TV right now is bringing a tear to my eyes.

Landlady's visit did not go well. Despite all our hard work cleaning she thinks the place is dirty. I need to repaint all rooms as they are looking "tired" and she is not happy with the work that my ex did. I've got to clean throughout, clear all the ivy from the side of the house and change the wiring of the internet my ex put in. She knows about my back problems but was more interested in whether I'm working (she does not like people on benefit living in her houses)

All this on top of my health problems and work worries. I can't cope.

Please pray for guidance as to how to deal with this, or a new place to live.

In fact - I need a miracle!

My elderly aunt is out of hospital and at home, a week earlier than expected. Many thanks to those of you who remembered her in your prayers. This thread has worked miracles in the past and I did not expect to be able to speak to her on the phone at home today - so good to hear her voice again. She is having problems remembering things since her collapse - we hope this will clear up.

For healing for St. Gwladys' S.

For T., who is recovering after a stroke but the medics are getting skeptical about his right hand. He can move his thumb a little, with huge effort. Please help him to move his whole hand and arm a lot, with much less effort. For his family, who have big caring responsibilities coming up.

For J., finally making some progress on long-standing health issues.

For G.

For K.

For healing for Nanny Ogg's depression and back pain. For a successful repaint and clean, and security of housing.

For Nicolemrw's D and their children, in their terrible loss.

For Whitney Houston, her family, friends and fans, and all those like her whose lives are seemingly controlled by evil forces.

For continued healing for Auntie Ariel, including and especially restoration of memory.

For Malin, for peace in stressful times.

For Jack the Lass.

For me, for funding, a successful noninterview on Wednesday, that sort of thing.

I may have discovered a means of stitching my holey pockets, but it's one of those things that seem too good to be true. Hmmm.

I cannot expect people to believe “
Jesus loves me, this I know” of they don’t believe “Kelly loves me, this I know.”

I will be spending today "fire-fighting" - preventing a bad situation becoming worse. I need to make the right choices, say the right words, make time stretch so that I can fit in all I need to fulfil today and still be there for someone who's struggling and needs support. I need God's strength and God's wisdom because mine sure ain't enough! (Good job I'm promised both, really). Please pray for the best possible resolution and for ultimate good to come from all that is going on (of which I have already seen positive glimmers).

Miss you, Erin.

Tradition is the handing down of the flame, not the worship of the ashes Gustav Mahler.
