and I'd appreciate prayer for me again - in my home they have been working, busy, messy all last week and will still be working probably more all this week - and they have taken my washing machine out of my bathroom and have shifted the toilet and the hand washing to different places - so how will they get the machine fixed in again? this is what is going on to all of us in this block...

for a spirit of attentiveness for all drivers and that car makers will always put as the top priority the safety of those who drive them
for our fellow non-human creatures who also think and feel, that we humans realise that and that we humans act in accordance with that realisation
for me as i go to re-start my anti-melanoma therapy today. Please God keep my liver enzyme levels down, and please God let the treatment kill the melanoma. Loving God, i place my life in your hands
that i may get through the complicated process of retiring from my current job -- hopefully within a month?

And I'm panicing again I'm afraid. My job was temporary, but several weeks ago I was told it has been made permanent. Great. But I've got nothing in writing. Whenever I email my boss asking for something tangible I don't get a reply, so I'm beginning to panic that something has gone wrong behind the scenes.

I've just come back from my meeting with HR & management.
My employment has been terminated (I've got 4 weeks notice) due to my health problems, especially as i could not give a date I would be back at work or guarantees that things would improve when I did return. this is in spite of me not having an initial assessment with mental health services.
They are not taking into account my feelings about how I've been treated by work "colleagues" as they see it as a separate issue, although it does, and has, impacted on my depression. ![[Mad]](angryfire.gif)
Please pray for me as I take advice from my union and come to terms with what has happened.

Laura is likely to be recalled to hospital tomorrow.
There is to be an assessment tomorrow lunchtime which is almost a forgone formality. I spent the afternoon with her and she is still as nutty as squirrel poo, but very distressed, confused, and exhausted.... (snap ditto)
Today also was difficult, as the police came to tell me that a sensitive family matter, is not going to go to court. Reason being that other family members cannot or will not substantiate allegations. My brother is also deeply depressed about this and I quote him "Another ^&*$ gets off, whilst I have to pay a parking fine etc with no right to appeal. I hate this "£$%!"£ country."

After having had my liver enzyme levels go down last week, i went in today to resume my treatment with the 2nd of 4 infusions. But (sigh) unfortunately the enzyme levels had risen again. So i couldn't have it today after all. But the nurse told me "we haven't given up on this treatment" and I am scheduled to go back a week from today, and if the
levels are back down hopefully I can resume the treatment then. So that's my prayer of the moment, please God. (Well, it's Lent and i need to work on my patience anyway)

Son's back operation has finally been firmly scheduled for this Friday. Not a moment too soon either. very bad pain and four heavy duty pain killers at maximum doses.
He has been told that pain may still be bad for some time till brain adjusts to new physical circumstances, somewhat like the pain an amputee feels although the limb has gone.
He appreciates prayer for all to go well and for a smooth recovery.

So, I've been holding back on looking for jobs because the last time I did that I got offered them, and it was a death-defying race against time for my current workplace to come up with the funding. That was nice for the ego, but I'm envisioning myself not getting funded for current boss's project, my redeployment being carelessly brushed aside, and then being cast into outer darkness with no prospects for months as my enemies cackle and exult over my downfall.
Well, I don't want that to happen, so... And I especially don't even have time to look for work right now, and the dragging-on tasks are blocking me good and proper. So...

A bit of good news - I caught my Head today and had a conversation with her. I do have a job for next year, and she later confirmed that in an e-mail, but the official letter is still in the system/ I was so relieved I nearly cried.

Well. I'm either fired, or things have taken a turn for the much better. God only knows. I will only know if I make it through to, say, mid-April. (they do firings totally unannounced round here)
I took the minor but troubling issue to my boss's boss, seeking advice. He firmly directed me to have a face to face chat with my boss, and said he would back me up if I get dragged into HR* as a result. Although the face-to-face chat (as I expected) got quickly dragged off into issues that have been festering for two years, and I a great deal of truth got spoken to stunning effect.
While he was still incapable of coherent speech, I settled the minor matter and got out. Now the question is, Is the man enough of a Christian to repent--or not? If not, then I've just flushed myself down the toilet (not that I wasn't there already). If so, who knows what may happen?
(And yes, I know that humanly speaking this was a damfool thing to do. My only plea is that I prayed long and hard before going in, and I think the Holy Spirit had a hand in it.)

For Lamb Chopped to have won? And not just a moral victory?
Tomorrow I have to go and try to get the doctor to reissue a prescription since the pharmacy, or they, gave me the wrong dosage and it's screwing with my motivation. Please let this get sorted out fast enough that I can go on to do my work without a hitch.
Very strangely paralysed about my job search. If You will please show me what to do tomorrow? And help me to follow through? Thanks.

A couple of weeks ago, C, (who had had lots of health problems in the past) collapsed and died very suddenly. She left her husband N, and two young daughters C (6), and R (2). Please pray for them, especially this weekend - C's class at school has been busy making Mothers' Day cards this week and it's all just awful and unfair. I don't really know how else to describe it.

Reading and praying, still.
Here, prayers of thanks that lovely son is to go on to University in September and his eye situation remains stable (hurrah for the surgeon).
I'm off anti-cancer medication because the side effects were too bad to continue, and am now seeing a heart specialist for what seems to be atrial fibrillation (should be treatable if so). So it's very much in the hands of God whether we've done enough to stop the cancer returning. Checkup next week, so we'll see what happens then. Thankful for prayers and good friends and family and excellent specialists thus far.

Son is in considerable pain from operation. Much longer and more extensive than originally thought because of severity of injury. Will know more details after doctor's visit tomorrow. Please pray for some relief and sleep for him.

Feeling very anxious and depressed as I've still not heard anything from the union and I have been given lots of forms or housing benefit etc which I can't face completing, and in some cases can't complete as I do not have all the relevant information.

Have just heard that son has had a walk and pain is much reduced from last night when he was convinced operation had achieved nothing. The agony in leg from damaged nerve seems pretty well gone, so that is very good news. Thanks for prayers.

For Nanny Ogg to hear from the union and be able to finish those housing benefit forms.
Plumbers came and wrapped all available surfaces in cling film (don't ask) and in the process gummed up the front door welcome mats, creating a trip hazard for the Telemum who banged her back against the edge of the door. She is now in pain with limited mobility, and anticipates everyone saying that she's old and therefore she's supposed to fall down. Please let her be healed before the weekend is out.
Thanks for prayers - prescription correcting could easily have stretched out into the whole day, but was over within an hour. Thank the Lord that boss is totally flexible about these things. Had a very productive day after that.
Thank You also that, in stupendous run of good luck today, I found a number of supplies that I had been looking for, super cheap and in some cases nearly free. My mind is boggling at a very specific, hard-to-find, expensive item I was desperate to get last winter, and which I found in a thrift shop today - but it will only be useful if I'm still at my current workplace next winter... So, please let this be a sign! [1]
