For me: health (esp. migraine!), general upholding, and some private intentions.

Thank you very much to those of you who prayed for my friend L, who was to have had the angiogram on Thursday. However after 6 hours of waiting (and fasting as you can't eat or drink anything beforehand) they told her they didn't have the time to see her that day because of some emergency admissions, and sent her home. It may now be after Easter. She remained calm throughout and was very grateful for your support.

St Patrick's Day blessings to you all.

K. got the job, so thanks for prayers!

For Golden Key's health, esp. healing of migraine. For general upholding and private intentions.
{Lol thanks, Golden Key!}

For healing for the sister and the daughter of Nicolemrw's Mickey B. For upholding for Mickey.

Aargh for Ariel's friend L. Please uphold her, and when she does have the angiogram, let it show that she's healed.

The Telemum is in quite a bit of pain from her fall. Please pray that she will be better by Tuesday, because if she's still in this amount of pain by then she'll have to see the GP.

For G., for healing.

For what I am about to whisper.

For the usual job stuff for me. Please guide me, Lord, about the best thing to do *tomorrow* about it.

Ah well, no luck. Mr. Lamb has crashed and burned on this exam also (no surprise, when he came home and discussed the vocabulary with me). The good thing is, if he improves on the next one to the same extent he did from the last, he'll fail by only five points! (Yes, that was sarcasm)

English as a second language sucks.

[Votive] For all, for health and for all the complicated, messy and stressful life situations to be sorted out as soon as possible.

I've got quite a few friends going through stuff at the moment.

Please pray for L's mum who had a ruptured brain aneurysm. Thankfully she is still with us and after surgery is now able to talk and has movement in her body. So far she has not been well enough to get out of bed and the doctors aren't sure if her ability to walk has been affected. Please also pray for L. who is going to drop down to part time hours at work to help care for her Mum once she goes home, and for L's father, sister and husband too.

Please also pray for my young married friends K and B. B had a new job that he really enjoyed, but shortly after he started working there management changed and he was required to sit a written exam (though the job mainly involves answering phone calls and customer service which his supervisors and his supervisors were happy with how he was going). He failed, narrowly, three times so now has lost the job. K is a casual relief/supply teacher so they are now struggling financially. Please pray for job opportunities.

Please also pray for another young couple E. and W. who have been trying to get pregnant. They had fertility tests as E. has had cysts on her ovaries in the past. Her tests showed she has cysts on both ovaries, which could make getting pregnant harder but not impossible. However on top of this W's tests showed that he is quite likely infertile. He is having further tests but it doesn't look good.

Finally please pray for A. who has a conflict of interest between her work and her faith. It involves being involved in a Freemason event though she is Christian and believes Freemasonry to be satanic. However as part of her employment she cannot get out of working at the event. Her boyfriend is not a Christian and thinks she is totally overreacting. Tonight when she asked a friend and I to pray for her he started making jokes about things falling off walls and seeing poltergeists. She loves her boyfriend but is finding the differences in their beliefs difficult especially at times like this when she needs him to be supportive.

For Mr Lamb to pass next time.

For Janine's homeless buddy.

For amber.

For healing for malik3000.

For Mili's L's mum, for healing. For upholding for L, her father, her sister and her husband. For a job for B. For a baby for E. and W. For clarity for A. In resolving the conflicts with her work and her boyfriend.

For continued employment for me pls kthx. For wisdom about exactly which actions to take about this tomorrow.

For what I am about to whisper.

Have filled in the paperwork for the Long Standing Ambition. Let it be rubber stamped and returned Godspeed!

Telemum has not felt any better today. If she doesn't improve by Tuesday she will need a GP appointment, which will take weeks and weeks to get, and which she will refuse to try to make because she can't cope with making appointments, knows it will take weeks and weeks, and knows the medical profession can't and won't be of any help to her. I did manage to get her to let me call NHS Direct yesterday, and they put her on an excellent pain management regime with detailed advice. But it took three hours of negotiation to get her to let me call them; she knew it was a waste of time because they would only send her to A&E, which would be unstaffed because it was a Saturday and studies show that there's no benefit to going into hospital on a Saturday. Meanwhile, she was yowling in pain and finding it difficult to speak or take a deep breath. I appreciate that things always have to be handled sensitively but I had broken down in tears after three hours of trying to figure out what to do for her and how to help her without being allowed to seek medical advice. I can't cope with always having to be driven to the breaking point before I'm allowed to take a simple and necessary action. I am not looking forward to several weeks more of this, I just want it to be over. And oh, yeah, I guess she does too since she's the one actually feeling the pain here. [brick wall]

Holding us all in the living, loving Light.

[Votive]

Special upholding for the little boy, possibly 7 or 8 years old, who fell off the back of a motorbike yesterday just as we were heading onto the temple for a wedding. He landed front side down flat on the road, bounced a bit and then an onlooker picked him up, parents got off motorbike and they all bundled into a rickshaw and off to hospital. I will never know the outcome but pray it is a good one.

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of our son-in-law. He's been home for two weeks now and seems to be getting stronger each day, although he still uses a walker and tires easily. He is pushing himself, despite this, because he wants to go back to work, and ASAP...because they're moving, a process that had come to a halt when he was in the hospital. The house closing (fingers crossed) comes next week, and we want to get everything in the new home by that following week.

Now if you could pray for DP and me...we've now been here over a month, because of Billy's setback; our other kids are coming to visit in a week-and-a-half (DP and I are paying their way because they can't afford such a trip right now and frankly we're not sure of Billy's long-term prognosis -- we wanted them to be here on an up-note, and they in turn want to help with moving and unpacking.) We are spent, every single day, just running errands for the boys. Billy is also being very demanding to the point of rudeness, which is so unlike him -- we suspect that his meds, maybe combined with his anxiety and his psychological processing of his hospital experience and the stress of moving, are amping up his nerves and causing him to act in odd ways. Anyway, DP and I are finding ourselves feeling very resentful and unappreciated, then immediately feeling very guilty that we feel this way. And we're homesick; we just want to be HOME. We're excited about seeing the grandchild, but...we are more than ready to turn the household back to the kids and Billy's mom, get in the car and drive back to Michigan.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of my dear grandad.

He died this afternoon, aged 95. He's been sleeping away for the past 18 months, so it's not unexpected. D was with him, for which I am very grateful. The nurses all said he was a gentleman.

Please pray for my dad, and for D. Please also pray for my aunt, who is estranged from my dad. Please pray for my brothers who are both overseas, one in a different hemisphere, and for cousin R, also in Aus, who loved her Uncle Gilbert.

I have now officially lost my job. I'm not surprised by this, it was a foregone conclusion as I've been on sick leave during my probation period. I'm due to see a specialist in a few weeks, but that won't really help me in the short term, but hopefully will in the long term.

In the short term I'm mostly frustrated by little things, like cooking and buying food when the housemates aren't in. Or buying more yarn when I've run out, or even smaller things like bending down to feed the cats!

Please pray that something happens to change *something* for the better!

Please pray for my Mum (soon to be 83).
She is fed up that she is missing church and her church friends because she feels unwell most of the time. She gets really worried not knowing what is wrong when she gets headaches and feels dizzy. She gets muddled with the difference between having a short term illness and being diagnosed with a condition - saying things like "when I had arteritus two years ago".
I also need prayers because I don't really know what to say when she rings me.

[Votive] reading and praying [Votive]

Tomorrow morning, my son "i and i" is having an interview for work - (he's been out of work since last July). And then not long later, he and his wife have a meeting to see a slightly bigger council home, but it's by the noisy road and they might not like it - they have a tiny tiny council home with their 3 children and they do need a better home. I really need some prayer.

Briefly, I have agreed to God-parent the 3 children of a single woman at my Church. She has in the past identified herself as lesbian, but is now back tracking on this, saying it was an attention seeking claim. The childrens father/s is/are doners. Or in the words of the eldest 'my Daddy is a Do-nut'!

She is sweet but odd, and very needy. She came to us when a patient at a local eating disorder unit, stayed in the area, and has been with us for 10 years. I have befriended and supported her through the years.

She is making a great job of bringing up these children but there are lots of issues and problems.

My other half is horrified that I have agreed. He has not met her, but has met her father, who he sees as decidedly dodgy. And my husband has a real gift of discernment!

However, I am determined to continue my suppoert, and believe that my taking on this role will make people at Church see her in a more positive way.

Please pray for us all- the young women, her children, my husband, her father, the Church.

For the Telemum. I'm sorry I grizzled about her like that. On Monday she proactively called the GP and made an appointment right away. He gave her Tramadol, cue more spectacular vomiting, pallor, greyishness around the mouth, ambulance, etc etc. before concluding that it was the Tramadol. So no more Tramadol, yes more serious pain and yelping. I just wish I could magic the pain all away for her.

I tetchily pray that the various and sundry people who apparently want to employ me would be enabled to just freaking do so, already. Irritable happiness all round, kthx.

I give thanks that we are able to bring all before our Lord and ask for, and know His support. No matter what life throws at us (and throw it does) may we all know that we are not on our own. We have friends and family (Ship and/or otherwise) who will pray with us and for us. Thank you all - praying for all.

[Votive] Prayer, please, for me. Home from hospital where my heart fibrillation & associated probs. caused a stir. On my part, exhaustion, fear, nausea, all those good things. good part: my 2 sons & their wives/kids finally got together at "the bedside". [Smile] Now if I can sort out the meds I should be on, & what old ones I should NOT take, I'll be good. My boss is worried, with Holy Week & all coming up, how the music will fare....God will provide I told him. Anyhuu, pray for me please. Thanks, shippies.

[Votive] For all here and all needs expressed and unexpressed

[Yipee] Praise God! I was able to get my 2nd treatment yesterday! They will continue to keep an eye on my liver enzyme levels of course, but once again the stuff to knock out the malignancy is in my system. May it do its job on the melanoma and not on my liver. [Votive]

Thanks for all your prayers.

[Votive] for Pearl B4 Swine - may you oink again in joy and good health

[Votive] for all on the Ship - may we perceive grace and hope in the midst of suffering, and may the shadows of doubt, pain and affliction be dispersed by light and love and trustworthiness everlasting

What is probably just a cold has wiped me out - no energy whatsoever, so no work today, ot probably for the rest of the week. Please pray for a swift recovery, particularly for an improvement in my mobility.

As well as an answer to prayer for Gigabites, please pray for Lord P, who has a trailer driving test tomorrow. And please pray for J, who lost her husband to cancer last week - the funeral is Monday. She is blind, and I've been told she is showing signs of dementia.

Prayers for Malik3000 and all suffering from cancer of all kinds.

My mother's funeral is tomorrow afternoon 22nd 14.30 UK time, if anyone finds themselves in a church tomorrow and could light a candle for her I would be very grateful. Her service is in a Methodist church and I don't think they'll have candles there.
