Got a last minute appraisal in 2 hrs. I'm at a crossroads WRT career paths, I'm being asked what I want, but really want to be told what's available so I can make a choice about it.

Prayers that I don't tie myself up in knots please and this might be a useful discussion (although in reality it's because everyone has to have their appraisal by today and no one thought to schedule me in...)

ta,

J

Mr.M's utterly reliable car has just died. We need to decide whether to transplant an engine, replace parts costing at least a thousand or buy another car. We have no money for any of these options.

Malinette has not yet been offered a place at the school nursery as there are a lot of applicants this year and we live in one of the further away streets. I am worried she will be isolated from her peers, bored at home for another year and then not get a school place next year either in the only village school.

Prayer appreciated.

[Votive] for Nanny Ogg

[Votive] for Telepath, esp. today

[Votive] for Lamb Chopped to get fairness at her workplace

[Votive] for the solving of the Malins' transportation crisis, and for a good school placement for Malinette

[Votive] for the repose of the soul of E.J., the friendly manager of the neighborhood Subway sandwich shop, whom i hadn't seen in a while, and who i learned just died. (I had no idea he was even sick) And solace for his family and friends

[Yipee] for my sanity I've declared my independence from my workplace (yay freedom!), altho i have some worry that i might have more financial tightness in re health coverage than i originally anticipated [Votive]

[Votive] for all cast to the wayside without needed health care. Dear God, i'm not making a political prayer -- just asking you to make a way for them the deliverance they need as You know best, loving, healing God

For Nanny Ogg to get her point across and make the right choices about paperwork.

For Pooks to feel better.

For Lamb Chopped to get the employment issues sorted out before 30 days are up. (I'd look elsewhere.)

For wonderful things to result from Jenny Ann's appraisal.

For car repair or replacement, and a school nursery place, for the Malins.

For the repose of the soul of malik3000's E.J., and solace for his family and friends.

Ha ha, now that malik3000 has given his workplace a good walking away from, may living well be the best revenge.

For healthcare for all.

Usual employment stuff for me pls, kthx.

My left elbow is killing me and sometimes the pain radiates down my arm. I am supposed to work about ten hours this weekend and do not want to miss out. I took two tablets that my orthopaedic doctor prescribed and got one from my wife. I may be better in an hour, God willing. All prayers are appreciated.

K. just called me to say her cat is very sick. She is taking him to the vet.

K. Is very attached to her cat and has literally pushed the bounds of veterinary science to care for him. If anything happens to him, I'm afraid K. might lose it. Please pray for them both.

Thanks, he went very quietly, and K. is well looked after for the time being. The cat's remains will go to a university pathology department tomorrow, and there is an arrangement that every time his case is cited, he must be mentioned by name. Together, he and K. are making a contribution will help many other cats.

I am in a lot of pain. My back has 'gone' - it happens occassionally. I am finding it hard to walk, rest, sleep, think....
I have spoken to my chiropractor, and will try to get to him tommorow. I am taking massive doses of pain killers.
I would appreciate prayer.

PS. I am also feeling hurt. It happened when I was out with a group of friends. Four of then are people I have supported when they were ill- transport to hospital appointments for chemo, visiting etc. (three of whom are Christians.)

It soiunds as though I expect payback, but the issue here is that my Non Christian husband is shocked that I have not recieved even a phone call from anyone, the Christians in particular. He is the one who pointed out to me the support and time I had given them when they were in need of it.

For Lamb Chopped to find work elsewhere, without all this weird stuff.

For Golden Key's healing, general upholding, reconciliation, and private intentions.

For North East Quine's private intention.

For healing for The Weeder. For her friends to have the thought that maybe they could give her a call.

So, less than a month to go at my current job, I've got three room-temperature prospects for further employment congealing on the kitchen counter like stuff that didn't quite get eaten at yesterday's party and you don't know whether to throw them out, or if they'll still be OK at lunchtime, or what. I need to take control tomorrow but... how? What do I do? I hate this. [brick wall] I am going to need steely determination and explicit guidance for tomorrow please.

I am, as usual, broke, but that's the bad habit I'm trying to address this month. Just please don't let it get any worse.

For K.

For the Telemum.

I mentioned upthread my friend P who has Stage 2 breast cancer on one side and (I have just learned) stage 1 on the other side. She is having a double mastectomy tomorrow, and that will be followed by chemo and radiation. She's a tough cookie and is ready to fight this, but prayers would be welcome.

I'm sorry, I have one more request. Tomorrow I'm participating in a Holy Week event called CrossWalk. It's a 4-mile walk across the Loop, starting at St James Episcopal Cathedral and ending at the county hospital, to raise awareness of the 600+ young people who have died in gun violence in the past year. Please pray for our efforts and, I have to ask on a purely selfish level, that I'm able to last the 4 miles.
