Anxiety is so incredibly much better.
One last thing - our church's project is before the city council again tonight, so would appreciate prayers. One of the anxieties was my fear that the opponents would go after our feeding program because "they have money in the bank"; prayers that the opponents Don't Go There and the council decision goes in our favor.

Just been praying through the thread for everyone by name. My prayers for each Shipmate, each need and each person they care about.
I've not been able to communicate much with the Ship in the last few weeks as things have been very eventful in the last couple of weeks what with career change and medical business -- plus -- I had 2 burglaries in the last month, the 2nd of which involved smashing thru the wall of the other apartment of the duplex to my side to get the stuff they didn't get the first time! (almost certainly the same people both times and i have an idea who they were). It's material stuff that can be replaced -- flat screen TV and 3 computers and a playstation. As a consequence for the moment the computer i am using now is spectacularly crappy which is another big reason i've been mostly out of communication.
However praise God, certain very good security improvements have been made to both sides of the duplex to the extent that i now feel comfortable staying here. I love my little place, i've lived here almost 10 years and feel blessed that the situation has been dealt with so well that i now feel i don't have to move. I am blessed in having a exceptionally nice landlord (everyone can't say that i know!) I pray for the sad individuals who perpertrated this profoundly disrespectful violation, but also that they will not be able to prey upon others.
I just heard from my cousin C in NY. I pray he's alright -- at least he sounds no worse.
I give the utmost thanks that i have completed all 4 infusions of my anti-melanoma therapy and feel wonderfully healthy. Now my prayer on that score is that tests in the next few weeks will show that the therapy has had the intended result.
I give thanks that i am retired from the job i've wanted to leave for some time and that -- with the help of friends -- have made great progress in doing the complicated (to me anyway) financial things that are necessary in the wake of leaving said job. However many years i have on this planet my life is good. I give thanks for wonderful friends including my wonderful parish family. So much more important than material things!

Please pray that - her toothache goes away entirely so she can celebrate her son's wedding this Sunday painfree. - as she's left the church that I left a few years ago due to further disillusionment with the current incumbent - that she may find a new spiritual home.

For Grammatica's friend, and for the repose of the soul of the brother.
For help for Grammatica in her workplace.
For continued peace of mind for Amazing Grace. For the opponents to Not Go There and the council decision to go in her church's favour.
For malik3000... The *wall*? That's impressive... It's almost like they earned it, really. Or not. For these loserly criminals to turn their lives around. For the replacement of the things stolen especially the computers. For cousin C. For that melanoma to be cast out.
For Master S and his girlfriend, for Mrs S's wrist.
For the stubborn resilience of Grandma Chopped. She is an example to us all.
For Lucia's M and D and their two children as they mourn the loss of their youngest.
For healing and a new spiritual home for Tree Bee's A.
For the soul of Ann's friend R. For comfort for her husband M and their daughter C, granddaughter S, and the rest of her family and friends. Rest eternal grant her, O Lord.
For me to do an excellent job tomorrow and Friday. I want to get everything done by the end of the week. For funding funding funding funding funding.
And THANK YOU that all my problems are high class problems right now... And I'm even reducing them. One can't take all this happiness for granted.

A really nasty accident in a Sydney suburb. A woman was carrying her 11 month old baby when she was hit by a bus as it slowly turned a corner. The baby was thrown aside and was unhurt on the road. The woman had been on her way to collect her 11 year old daughter returning from a school camp. The daughter was in the bus which killed her mother.

For MaryLA's Jan, for healing.
For Lucia's M and D.
For all who miss Ann's friend R.
For Tree bee's friend A, freedom from toothache and a new spiritual home
For the child who saw her mother killed in the accident known to Lothlorien. For the baby. For the bus driver.
For St Everild's N, and for all who loved and grieve.
Praying for the souls of those who died in the bus crash known to LeRoc, and for recovery for the wounded.
For Olinda's son in law G, for another better job.
For Pious Pelican, for her anxiety, for her to see a way forward from today's news. Lord, give her the gift of prayer again, help her to listen to You, show her the way.
For Mad Cat.
For cousin G, who has an illness of the heart and lungs that I'm not clear about, and who has finally been diagnosed with bipolar disorder after being labelled 'difficult' all his life. For his brother G.
For the Telemum.
For my project at work.
For funding funding funding. Also, Boss today mentioned a prospect for one of those long-standing ambitions, so, let's hope this comes to something. And the other thing, of course.
Please pray that the Lord will guide me and multiply my efforts as I try to. Get control of my finances. I wouldn't mind having more finances to control, but I don't see any way in which that could happen right now, so, one thing at a time. Continuous employment would of course help.

Please would you pray for the right person to come forward to do the shopping for the Breakfast held at my church. It is a community breakfast and is one of the few places people of all walks of life can mingle on an equal footing.
The person doing the shopping was M's foster mum but with spending every afternoon with M she is finding it too much to do.
The person does not need to come to the Breakfast but does need to be able to liase with Mary who works in the kitchen every week.

I just got a phone message in the last 30 minutes from my cousin C who is in New York, saying that he has been stabbed in the back and his lung punctured and is on the way to the hospital. That is literally all i know. If he had not yet arrived t the hospital i'm not sure how he knows whether or not his lung was punctured.
I hope that the fact that he sounded normal on the phone and that he quickly followed it up with a text message means that it is not as serious as it sound. I'm praying and waiting for more news. God, please deliver him from whatever abyss he is in.

Dear Shipmates, thank you so much for holding me in prayer.
The council decision did go our way. Deo gratias!
One of the opponents Most Certainly Went There, calling me out both in writing (to the council and the local fishwrap) and in her remarks by name. But she was very obviously a kook of the first water. It was mostly funny. And I feel like I've undergone a local rite of passage - you ain't nobody in this town till some kook rants about you in the Planet/at a Council meeting.
My anti-anxiety meds got a workout, but I'm relieved.
