I just got some really bad news. Coming on top of everything else the way that it is, it has me seriously wondering if I can make it through this.

I am in a lot of pain and my GP practice has a policy of not prescribing what several other healthcare professionals I've spoken to say I need. I'm too tired (mum of a newborn) and sore to argue or even really to understand what is going on and worried that the floods of tears I'm in as a result will escalate to something worse.

Let us all take heart from the miracle of staggering proportions that has been granted to Lamb Chopped. If it had been in the Old Testament, nobody'd believe it.

I have ten days left in my current post. We have a half dozen possible sources of funding, nothing actual. I need the £s.

[Votive] so much to pray for...... <sigh>

I'd like to request prayers for my mum (an unbeliever) today - she's having an operation on some uterine fibroids today. A minor operation but the heavy bleeding the fibroids cause has given her anaemia and so she struggles with tiredness and the emotional effects of that. Thanks. Her name is Helen if that helps.

[Votive] that saysay may be strengthened and find a way to cope with this latest bad news

[Votive] for effective pain management and comfort for Ferijen as a new mum

[Votive] gratitude that Nicolemrw's daughter got the job, that it may be a permanent placing

[Votive] for daisymay's sister, that her heart operation on Monday goes well, for complete healing

[Votive] for Golden Key

[Votive] for Jade Constable's mum Helen, that this op may end the anaemia and for complete healing

Prayers asked that Maitland Refugee Centre in Cape Town might not be closed down. If it closes, refugees, asylum seekers and displaced people would need to travel long distances in the winter cold to refugee centres in Durban, Pretoria or Musina.

Please could you pray for my 8 year old niece. She is a very allergic child, and has been having persistent tummy-ache for the last two months. I add my prayers also to the ones above. [Votive]

Sorry to hear that, Jade Constable. Praying for the healing of your mum Helen.

Good news, duchess. For you, the Magician, and the Girl.

For the Maitland refugee reception centre in Cape Town, and for more refugee shelters established.

For healing for Welease Woderwick.

For harmony hope.

(in continued amazement at Lamb Chopped's miracle)

There is disturbed-sounding yelling and swearing, in English, from a nearby house. Hope that turns out for the good, whatever it's about.

For North East Quine's M, for his mother's healing even if a miracle is needed to achieve that. For strength and comfort for her husband and family.

Usual financial and employment stuff for me please. Also please guide me to apply for the right things tomorrow.

For the Telemum.

For a private intention.

For E.

A woman I grew up with ---much like a sister to me-- posted an hour ago that her husband took his life last night. Completely thunderstruck. Please pray for the repose of Kevin, and for comfort and strength for Cherie and her daughter Savannah.

I cannot expect people to believe “
Jesus loves me, this I know” of they don’t believe “Kelly loves me, this I know.”

This is unbearably sad, Kelly. Prayers ascending for your friend and for you too. I hope the young man is at peace.

Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.

Reading through and praying --

[Votive] for Comet's Shadow and his wife, for all who know them

[Votive] for the repose of the soul of Kevin, for Cherie and daughter Savannah to be comforted and supported as they begin to deal with the trauma of suicide, for Kelly Alves
