I know who I need to talk to.
I'm not entirely sure I want to talk to him, but I know that sooner or later I'm going to have to.
What I don't know is whether to simply wait for something to happen or to try to make it.
So, I guess that's a request for guidance and clarity.

For Jack the Lass's E, her parents, and her sister.
The Telemum is weary, weak, stiff-kneed, has a useless right arm. Generally since her accident in September she has felt Old, and she thinks there is only one cure for this. Please pray that her vitality will be restored.
So, the job... Apart from getting there, and pulling off a dazzling performance every day without putting in excessive hours, I need to focus on two things: getting to the next level, and managing money better. Maybe earning more, somehow.
For malik3000, melanoma be gone (obviously) and also for mastery of the assertiveness thing. (try Miss Manners who is hilarious)
For guidance and wisdom and if need be, a successful conversation for saysay.

Prayers requested for our Search Committee and our Vestry (which I am on) as we move to the final stages in our rector call process. The Search Committee will be meeting tonight to discuss who to present to us on Vestry as candidates for interview. (I think they made their last site visit yesterday.)
This is a huge responsibility and has occasionally made me lose sleep over the last eighteen months. I'm comforted somewhat by the report from the search committee that all the candidates are definitely strong, capable candidates. But there will be a lot of hard work and tough decisions ahead. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us.

We'd really appreciate any spare prayers going at the moment. Too much accumulated general stress (money, work, lack of sleep, being on my own with kids during week, ill health, etc) and on top of that specific stress - mum is taking a turn for the worse, nan on her last legs and needing support and Teaspoons christening on Sunday (not at all a big "do" but still needs organising and my mum not to turn up drunk at).

I didn't get the law scholarship despite sinking several hundred pounds in traveling up and down the country getting experience prior to the interview. I must've committed the unforgivable sin somewhere along the line I reckon *sigh*. (and if you've ever heard my blasphemy you'll know it's quite a possiblity!)

For the young people in our city; reeling after the disappearance and untimely death of one young man and anxiously waiting for unconnected news of another missing young man.
For older adults to remember that our youngsters are jumpy right now and feeling helpless. Sometimes this comes across as snappy....they're just upset.

A few weeks ago I asked for prayers for my daughter H, finally having tests after a bad fall. The MRI scan proved negative, thank God, but she is still having trouble with her left eye and further tests are planned. Please pray that she has no lasting damage and that she may be healed from whatever's causing the trouble.
